Nothing fancy for the first Saturday Squirrel of the year. This is just a little guy I came
across on my baseball trip to Minneapolis in September 2011 (Twins vs. Mariners, if you cared. Seattle won both games 5-4, oddly enough). I was walking from the hotel lobby out to my car along the sidewalk when I noticed this cute little critter prancing along side me, not paying me much mind at all. My squirrels back home would have already run for their lives had I been even half as close to them as I was to him. He was patient enough to wait for me to dig my camera out of my pocket and take this picture of him. The area around my hotel in Richfield, MN looked a bit shady, but this is the only hotel I’ve stayed at in the past 5 years which featured its own resident bushy-tailed rodents!
Here’s another picture I took the morning I left. I don’t know if it’s the same squirrel or not…
Hope your Saturday is going better than mine is….

Hope yours gets better.
It should, I’m about ready to take a nice 10 hour nap!
Pleasant dreams.
A hotel for, I mean WITH, squirrels sounds like a 5-star resort to me! =)
It is quite an attraction! And that’s what it takes to get people to vacation in Minnesota in September!
Check your bill to see if the squirrels came gratis or if they charged you a resort fee for them…:P
I believe the squirrels were all-inclusive. I just hope they weren’t a part of the continental breakfast…
Seeing cute squirrels always makes for a better Saturday! I hope your day gets better quickly. =)
cute squirrels and cool on the game
Hope your Saturday turned out well in the end for you
Interesting accommodation. Also I am sooo glad I found out about “squirrel picnic” OMG. We do a lot of that sort of thing around here!! It is amazing to see others doing Amigurumi. I am taking my son to Japan in April for a week which I think might be the birthplace of both “cute” and Amigurumi.
He loves all comics and also manga.
Ahem….
We’re demanding more squirrels in an Ark! You know where! Come to the Dark Side!
LOL, thanks, but no thanks.
Mary Mann is there… Perhaps a Merrold Mann can join as well…
Yeah! Yeah!
