For today’s Saturday Squirrels, I just chose a nice picture I had of two squirrels at random and added a little conversation. This was taken in November in my backyard.
Monday is a holiday for some in the United States, as it is the day set aside each year to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. But if you aren’t already aware, January 21st is also National Squirrel Appreciation Day!!! That makes this Squirrel Appreciation Weekend!!! Be sure to enjoy squirrels responsibly, and don’t forget to designate a driver who will brake for squirrels. Hopefully, I will come up with a nice post for the occasion on Monday… though a doctor appointment may keep that from happening. But in case I don’t, I just wanted to give you fair warning of the happy occasion upcoming, and remind you to appreciate our furry little friends! And make sure you check out Busterville….

Haha
Telling us your method was almost like a magician tell the audience how the trick was performed. But that’s a great idea, photographing two of anything and adding dialogue.
A magician of shitty photography! I didn’t realize how blurry that pic was until I posted it.
Thanks! I love Photoshop…. oops, a magician never reveals their secrets!
Happy squirrel appreciation day. My son has another pic to help you celebrate. We can’t seem to get it on the “jabber away” bit so we are emailing it.
happy squirrel appreciation day
If I can, I will try to do something to help celebrate it.
It will most likely be on my side blog though if I do. : )
The squirrels will thank you!
Hope you like the pics

Wow! I missed Squirrel Appreciation Day! We’ve been doing a little “appreciating” today. It’s “us” vs. “them” and they are winning. We’ve been trying to figure out how they are getting into a feeder, and we never catch them in the act. They are just sitting in the tray happily munching away by the time we see them. Ongoing war. Squirrels are winning. Makes the yard interesting! Thanks for reading my blog. Connie
Thanks for stopping by The Nest, home of the motto, “There is no such thing as a squirrel-proof feeder!”
Amen! Sure is fun to eventually win a small battle. They are definitely winning the war!
