Spring has finally arrived, and the squirrels are happy to be getting back into their warm weather routines. One of which is, of course, getting to know each other a little better! These two squirrels among my backyard bunch seem to have become quite an item. Squirrel chases are nothing out of the ordinary around my oak tree… but when the chasee doesn’t seem to be too interested in getting away from the clutches of the chaser, you know there’s a little something of the game of love going on!
And of course, once the chasing is over, you just know it’s going to lead to something like this….
Sigh, there are times when I feel like my backyard squirrel watching is actually a bit of an intrusion on my furry neighbors’ privacy. OK, I’ll put the camera away now and close the blinds. You two can have all the fun you want now out of the prying eyes of this sciurine peeping tom…. I’ll wait until you’ve finished “burying your nuts” to let you know that for the second straight week, you two have been my featured Saturday Squirrels!
Have a great weekend… though you’ll never have a better time than these two are having!
go squirrels, i like their ‘go for it’ spirit )
Yes, who cares if its daylight and everyone can see us! It’s probably for the best most humans don’t have this spirit….
Wow, you caught them doing the funky squirrel! Awesome.
Squirrels gone wild!
They got themselves some morning tail, ESN.
I hope it’s not a one day stand…
This reminds me of every trip to the zoo we took with the kid’s school. Always there would be some activity going on, leaving us chaperones to try to keep the kids moving along and not stopping and asking what was happening. The last time it was kangaroos.
Back scratching…. that’s all it is… back scratching!
Bow chicka bow wow!
Sexeh!
I have been awakened daily in the darkest hours before dawn, by the quacking of the ducks in the creek beside my apartment building! They are really ‘going at it,’ early in the morning! Love is, indeed, in the air! Go wild critters, go! Smiles, Robin
All the fun that goes on in our own yards!
Oh goodness. I expect to see photos of itty bitty squirrels in a few months.
I would absolutely love to see some baby squirrels, but they are usually so elusively hidden! I’ll keep my eye (and camera) out, though….
I agree with Juliette! Baby squirrels would be great! 🙂
They would! I hope I see a few….
Oh goodness lol
hope you get the chance to take pictures of the babies when they come : )
I’ll have to entice them out with some squirrel candy!
That my work lol

Don’t look Ethel!
Ooh, you squirrel voyeur, you!
I hope there will be babies (caught by your lens of course).
Well, they may have been using protection… but I didn’t want to look there!
your future Saturday squirrel posts MUST feature their babies 😉 In all their milestones if possible heee heee 🙂
I’ll be looking out for them!
