  1. I wouldn’t be a human, not even on howl-o-ween :o) but maybe you can come to my crib tomorrow to chase the kiddo’s away?

  2. reocochran says:

I want to join in the party but would wear a pumpkin shirt or a silly combination, like a clown may wear… I don’t have any costumes up here at my Mom’s. She always has me choose one of her silly hats! Smiles and have a happy Halloween!

    • That is far more adventurous than me, who will be going as myself for the 26th straight year. Like tattoos, costumes are so much more fun to look at on other people…. happy Halloween, Robin!

  3. Mental Mama says:

My “slutty” costume this year consists of a pair of blue jeans and an orange jack o lantern t-shirt. The costume industry can just suck it.

  4. merbear74 says:

The colors in this comic are purty.

  5. NotAPunkRocker says:

I am trying to figure out if I can get away with Lego-movie-girl hair tomorrow in the name of Halloween.

Oh yeah, great comic! For various reasons, I was glad I had a boy, and “costumes” plus girls’ clothing choices in general were part of those reasons.

    • I think you should. Every day is a great day for hair coloring… says the cartoonist who gave just gave two of his characters who already had bright red hair even more flamboyant colors…

At least when my sisters were growing up, everything was still cheap, plastic-mask store bought costumes. I don’t understand for the life of me why Halloween turns even seemingly prudish girls into fantasy sluts for one evening. Not that I;’m complaining, mind you, but I don’t quite get why it is what it is….

  6. draliman says:

I see copyright squirrel has been turned into a little witch 🙂
I like the changing pictures on the underpants.

    • If someone invented underwear with designs that constantly changed, they’d never have to work another day in their life…

I can always count on you to find the Copyright Squirrel Easter eggs! One of these times, I’m gonna forget to put him in there, and you’ll never let me hear the end of it!

  7. Some of us gravitate to the slutty costumes because we desperately want to believe we’ve still got “it” (what “it” is because I’m pretty sure I’ve never had “it”)! But I live in Canada and they’re predicting snow Friday night, so I’d have to wear a snowsuit over my sluttiness, so what would be the point?

  8. 1jaded1 says:

Humans are the scariest things to go as. Love rabid Buster. Happy Halloween!

  9. herdthinner says:

I, too, would be the object of ridicule at that party. It’s never occurred to me to try “slutty,” ever. And sometimes you see costumes that are trying so hard to be that way, but fail so very badly. Those are the truly terrifying ones to me!

  10. Too many humans. No more humans. Except maybe some slutty ones. Then you can get the whole outfit at Walmart.

  11. I am not the first to report it but I noticed copyright squirrels costume immediately. Everyone has an opinion on costumes this year. Too much this, and not enough that. Your comic was hilarious!

    • Thanks!

It’s funny how I’ve discovered today that apparently there is a lot of backlash against the backlash against slutty Halloween costumes! Now it’s being called “slut shaming” to point out how girls seem to gravitate towards skimpy costumes on a chilly Fall evening! Only in America can you defend your right to look like a slut for one night! 🙂

      • I know!!! in a democracy we get to dress exactly how we want to. I blow raspberry at people who are mean. Girls and boys dress up (if you want to) and have FUN!!!

  12. I too liked the changing logo on the pants. Most interesting.

Your powers of paint are quite impressive, you know.
