Yesterday I took my cats to the vet for their annual checkup and shots… and somehow I survived not being clawed to death by the two unwilling patients. When I got there, I plopped Ody on the scale, and the digital display rang up to 19 pounds. There are tigers who don’t even weigh that much. Someone needs to go on a diet…
Speaking of… how much do you think this rotund little squirrel would check in at if I could get him on a scale? I know squirrels tend to fatten up for the winter, but come on, dude! You still gotta stay in pretty good shape, or you’re gonna miss an important jump in the tree and become a furry cannonball. Lay off the corn and the nuts, will ya?
Well, this is one Saturday Squirrel who is definitely larger than life….
Have a great weekend, a wonderful holiday, and don’t eat so much that you end up like Big Boy here!
19 lbs. is one heavy cat! I wonder who would win a race, that squirrel or your cat?
I don’t know… but it would be funny to see a squirrel run with the hanging flab patch swinging side to side like my cat has…
Ody, maybe your real name is Garfield? The squirrel reminds me of my grampy hahahaha
Everyone sees it as Odie, but its actually “Oddy” as in short for Odyssey… as in my character with the WordPress Snow sign on the side of my blog.
Your grampy had a big bushy belly? 🙂
it’s not bushy big big :O)
Fat bottomed squirrels make the rockin’ branch go round.
I hate that song… but the pun was too good to pass up!
Hell yeah! 😀
That squirrel looks like one of those punching bag clown thingies I had as a kid that you could never knock over completely. Goodness! Talk about eating yourself into the classic pear shape. That furry might have Type 7 diabetes.
That may be what keeps him from falling out of the tree… he’s like a Weeble that wobbles but never falls down.
That’s what I was thinking of, Bill!
This is amusing, E.S. Cats are not my favorites, but love the fat bottomed squirrel and all the fun you share with us…. Happy Holidays and best wishes for our continued new years in 2015!!
Thank you, and my best holiday wishes to you as well!
I have 2 cats too. Brother and sister (Notwen and Pouncer) they weigh 17 and 15.5 lbs. Notwen being the bigger of the two. But, they aren’t fat. They are just big cats! Lazy too. LOL Your cat is a cutie.
That squirrel though, my goodness. LOL
My other cat weighs only 10 pounds… one would think Ody’s just eating all of Biskit’s food, but it’s actually just the way they are. Biskit doesn’t eat much at all, and Ody will eat anything in sight…
I’m beginning to wonder if the camera added a few pounds to that squirrel. I don’t really recall this squirrel being such a porker when I took his picture!
Someone doesn’t “eat to live” – he/she “lives to eat”! And now I have that Queen song stuck in my head….oh well! 😉
LOL, I’m sorry for that! As I said above, I don’t even like that song… but it made for the perfect title!
Somebody (I won’t name names) has been hitting the feeder a bit too hard! Do I hear a New Year’s resolution amidst the chewing?
I’ll have to put a big hamster wheel out there… think of the great pictures that would net me!
My feline weighed in at 25 monstrous pounds a few months ago.Twenty five. So, don’t feel bad about 19. Granted, he’s a huge cat and the vet said he’d like to see him around 22, but still. 25.
Wow! That’s huge! Ody could stand to lose a few pounds, but he’s probably be at least 15 regardless of how much he ate since he’s also large and not just fat…
Damn massive lazy felines. They sure do have it good. 😉
I got my special card from FoG HQ yesterday!!! 🙂 Thank you!
And I will make sure not to forget National Unicorn Appreciation Day!
Cheers!
I love to see a nice well fed cat! and squirrel.
I just need to keep the well fed squirrel from being part of the well fed cat! 😉
Wow, and I got all excited that Evie Cat managed to gain a few ounces. She’s finally back up to a whole 9lbs.
Biskit would like to work out a trade of Ody for Evie… he says he’s tired of having to rassle with a cat that’s twice his size… 🙂
She’s pretty spunky for an old lady, although right now she’s getting comfy in a blanket nest on my side of the bed. Lazy kitten…
That squirrel’s gonna get to Spring and he’ll still be a podgy fella!
Yep, and those stretch marks won’t look good come swimsuit season…
Not to be judgmental or anything, but he appears to have more than just a fat bottom.
That said, he is still very adorable!
There’s more fur to love! 🙂
Very cute butterball! If squirrel was a celeb, it would be saying that you got it at a bad angle. Happy Holidays to you, too!
I think you are right about getting his bad side… or maybe he would blame a botox operation gone wrong….
Happy holidays to you too Jaded! 🙂
Fat bottomed squirrels make the rocking world go round, you know. And besides, fat shaming is a BAD thing, so stop it! Keep feeding the squirrels. Or else. 😉
Well, I’m now making them do a little exercise to get their food! We’ll have that big boy slim and trim in no time!
