While searching through my archives for photos for my squirrel love letter post Thursday, I came across some other interesting pictures I’d forgotten about from the past year that never got their own Saturday post. Here’s a somewhat out of focus image of a squirrel who appears to be doing some chin ups. Hey, nothing wrong with a little exercise to add on to the usual running around at 10,000 miles per hour and leaping through trees. Perhaps this squirrel saw the fellow in this post, and was inspired to not become that squirrel….
Feel the burn, buddy! Your commitment to sweating it out just to get nuts of steel has made you this week’s Saturday Squirrel… in focus or not!
Have a high energy weekend, everyone!
the squirrel reminds me of a class mate. He should do chin-ups and he hung 20 minutes around without doing only one of that darned pull-ups, and the bas**** of a teacher let him really hang there to humble this guy… may all squirrels of the world throw their nuts tonight on that evil teacher…
I could never do a damn chin up either! I hated that in gym class… though at least our teacher cut us off when it was obvious we were too weak to lift our fat asses up…
I will never do a chin-up. I have made peace with this fact.
It’s certainly not something that I care is on my permanent record…
Remind him, “No pain, no gain.” That will keep him going. Or convert him to couch squirrel with a bowl of popcorn, a pizza and a beer. Maybe he’d enjoy football. Invite him over for Super Bowl Sunday, why don’t you?
I had a squirrel picture I could have easily Photoshopped into a football rootin’ squirrel, but time is never on my side on Saturday mornings when I’ve been awake for most of the past 24 hours. I’m sure I can find another exciting sporting event to use him for… I wonder if the World Series of Poker is coming up?
I think the basketball finals are in March. I think.
Ahhh, the appropriately named March Madness, which actually concludes in April each year (Usually the same week as Opening Day). I’ve never been a college fan, but you never know what a squirrel will be interested in… we shall see.
Just what we need, Bill, squirrels scurrying about with Ahnold biceps. 🙂
I don’t think the dogs will be messing around with this guy….
First furry on SGJ. Squirrel Growth Hormones, purchased by a nefarious guy with a nest in Florida …
Maybe he found a really big nut and is working out so he can carry it home. 😉
I think the only big nut around my yard is me!
In that case……watch out! LOL
Shane is the master of chin ups. I will show him this guy. Great pic!
Maybe we can set up a friendly competition…. squirrel vs. boy!
Go Squirrel, go!
