Can we possibly already be a whole month into the year 2015? It’s hard to believe the calendar has already flipped to February…. but the big handegg season just came to an end (That’s handegg, Pete Carroll… not throwegg), everyone north of Bumfuck, Mississippi is buried in snow, and Buster got run over while seeing his shadow. It’s also Monday, and that means it’s time for another pony approved edition of Mecca Muzak Monday! As promised, for the next few weeks, in honor of that awful Hallmark holiday in the middle of the month, we’re going to feature a few songs of the Mecca CD that show just how stupid Cupid can be….

Our featured artist this week is Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman. Livening up the second hour of last year’s Fall CD was their 2009 single about having a V8 moment over a relationship that’s going nowhere fast…
Theory of a Deadman is probably not the first band that comes to mind when you think of 21st century rock bands to come from The Great White North… and the funny thing is, it was that band’s frontman, Chad Kroeger, who discovered Theory back in 2001. Too bad Chad didn’t take notes from these guys, because maybe if Nickelback rocked even half as much as “Not Meant To Be” does, they wouldn’t have earned the dubious distinction of being the most disliked band of the 00’s…
Someone had to take the mantel from these guys…
As for Theory’s singer Tyler Connolly… well, a little advice. Save yourself some money this Valentine’s Day and just bask in the glory of love that wasn’t meant to be….

See now, we are shoulder deep in snow. We got another foot and something last night and today, there’s more coming tonight, though I think the worst is over. But for Garry, this means … yes … you got it … SPRING TRAINING. That’s right. If we are being crushed by ice and snow, can baseball be far behind?
Just a couple more weeks until pitchers and catchers report! That means its almost time for me to start thinking about my fantasy baseball team….
Nothing can lift us or smash us in the face quite like “love” or LURVE as it sounds like to me when you Americans say it. Hooray for love. It is fun when it isn’t publically humiliating us and making us broke. LOL! 😀

The only reason why I look forward to St. Valentine’s Day, is because of the limited edition candies they put out.
They should sell the candy hearts all year around. In fact, I think they make a version of them for most holidays now because they’re so popular…
