  1. aaah now I know the truth …. it’s all business… btw: who is that guy in the window? is it this adopted german bath attendant prince?

  2. The reappearance of Applewhite can only mean one thing — the Mothership is on its way! Lace up your purple Nikes!

  3. NotAPunkRocker says:

    OhEmGee…the Velvet Scratchy picture? Perfect!

  4. The Cutter says:

Based on the rates that some of her peers are apparently getting, I don’t know if I can afford for my daughter to be visited by the Tooth Fairy.

  5. Ally Bean says:

What’s the going acorn to dollar exchange rate now? Without that vital piece of information I can’t tell whether or not this poor squirrel child is getting taken advantage of OR making out like a bank robber. Inquiring minds need to know.

  6. draliman says:

Great, now I’ve got “Star Trekkin'” stuck in my head 🙂 So now RD’s up to no good. Buster’s a bad influence on him.
Who’s that face at the window?

    • You can blame Gentlestitches for the earworm.. she linked to it in my Klingons post Saturday, and I still haven’t got that song out of my head!

The face is of a Mr. Applewhite, whose Wiki page I linked to in a comment above. He was in a gag I used in last week’s comic, and since I still had his mug on my computer, I decided to use him again as a peeping tom! I may use him again in the future, so get to know him! 🙂

  7. JackieP says:

Your peeping tom is creepy. 🙂 I love the little things one has to look for in your comics. The velvet picture, the peeping tom and other things. I always see what I can find in them.

    • I have always enjoyed finding “Easter eggs” in things, and figured others enjoy them as well… so I try to pepper my comic with as many little things as I can. Sometimes they’re funny in themselves, sometimes they’re lame, and quite often they are just plain weird! What kind of person would put the creepy image of a creepy cult leader peeking through the window of a little squirrel? Me! 🙂

  8. HaHaHa. Even in Barwon Heads on a tiny phone without wifi this is hilarious. I look forward to reseeing it on my big screen. Meanwhile I enjoyed your commentors too. Always going forward cos we cant find reverse.! 🙂

    • I think it will look impressive on the big screen… though maybe not as impressive as Barwon Heads! I still watch that Star Trekkin video about once a day… you have me hooked!

  9. I remember how touching it was when my son lost his baby teeth. Aww, shucks. In my dotage, I’ve lost several molars because they were cracked from tooth grinding. For reasons hard to explain, that hasn’t been nearly as touching. And no one stuck money under my pillow … but the dentist sent a bill. That’s almost the same thing, right?

    • Yeah, I never really thought about how unfair it is that the Tooth Critter discriminates against adults and reverses the whole payola system on them. I’ve been lucky to have only ever had one tooth pulled, but damn if I was the one who had to shell out the acorns for it…

  10. HA! That was unexpected.

I have an unrelated critter story for you. We went to the zoo today. Inside all of the animal habitats, except the great apes and big cats, were squirrels chowing down on the food. What a great gig.

    • Oooooooh! Pictures? It would be cute to see a squirrel eating a snack on top of a hippo…

I wonder if squirrels are brave enough to sit up in a branch and bark at lions and tigers like they would kitty cats. I haven’t been to our zoo in over 20 years… I wonder if the squirrels run amok there too…

  11. Well, I reckon that’s the best sort of religious fanatic – one who quietly takes themselves and their fanatical followers out of the picture. Very creepy to have him popping up all over the place though!
