Hey Neighbor!

Hey Tim! Can I borrow your reciprocating saw?

Hey Tim! Can I borrow your reciprocating saw?

For as long as there’s been private property, there have been fences to enforce the boundaries.  Neighbors have been meeting along these fences to catch up on the latest gossip sqturday squirrel logoand chew the fat for generations.  That shouldn’t be any different if your neighbor happened to be a squirrel now, would it?  I know I’d be tickled to death to have a squirrel next door who poked his adorable little head over the fence every once in a while to ask about how Mecca’s treating me, whether I’m ever going to cut my grass, or if I have a spare corncob he could “borrow.”

Sorry, buddy.  All I can do is take your picture so you can star as this week’s Saturday Squirrel.  Be sure and tell the Missus I said hi…

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wonderful photo. This little guy’s white furry chest is cute. He could charm Neighborette for sure.

    I love the photo!

  3. That squirrel looks like he’s waiting for you to offer him a cuppa coffee, maybe a chat in the kitchen.

  4. fanrosa says:

Sure it could be a cute little neighbour waiting for a chat.

Or it could be a sniper hanging over the wooden fence on the grassy knoll. Hey, don’t look at me like that, you’re the one that tagged John Wayne Gacy on a comic….

Hee, very cute! Do you have to “stake out” your yard for these photos, or do these guys often stay still long enough to get your camera?

    • I assure you anytime they stay still long enough for me to get good shots like this is a rarity and a miracle. I brought the camera with me while I was filling the corn feeder the other day, and I saw him poking his head up over the fence. I was sure he’d duck back down by the time I got the shot off, but fortune smiled upon me! I loved this one so much I uploaded the picture and wrote up this post as soon as I got back inside!

I love this photo, E.S. You amaze me with both sarcasm and fun comments here. You think outside the box 🙂

  7. I wish my neighbours were as cute and fluffy as that! 😀

  8. Great shot!! He/she is too cute! I think of Wilson looking over the fence…only you can see past his eyes! lol! 🙂

How adorable! I wish all my neighbors were squirrels.

    • I’ll bet they’d be more behaved than most of the other neighbors. And I’ll bet they wouldn’t shoot off fireworks while I’m trying to sleep…

      • Trisha says:

And they wouldn’t play their music too loud or chop all the trees down. I think they’re the best kind of neighbors and yet so many complain about their destructiveness!
