Barring a Friday evening spike in activity or a truly dead Saturday, today should end up being a milestone day at The Nest. If you look over on the sidebar, my hit counter is 
nearing (or may already have surpassed) 100,000 all time views. That’s a lot of damn hits for a blog that hasn’t even reached its fourth anniversary yet, even if many of them came from strangers looking for Spongebob porn or pictures of fat men at computer desks. Of course, the majority of those questionably tracked page views came from people just like you, who apparently have the lack of taste that is required to follow my silly blog. Whether you’ve been reading The Nest for just the last three weeks or have been bearing with me the past three years… thank you very much for being a part of the fun here! Today’s overly cute, somewhat surprised, and actually in-focus Saturday Squirrel is just for you!!!

You have just made me realize I took the entirely wrong angle with this! My caption should have had the squirrel watching the counter hit 100,000 like an odometer rolling over to a round number. That always fascinated me as a kid…. heck, it still does!
I closed and reopened the page and it hasn’t counted me twice. That’s clever 🙂
