How’s It Hanging?

I seem to be encountering a lot of friction for some reason….

When I was a kid, the smartass response to that greeting was always “A little to the left,” or right depending on the situation.  Yes, boys like to obsess and joke about their private sqturday squirrel logoparts… we’re a crude lot, and as you may be able to tell from reading my blog, sometimes we never grow out of that phase.

At least for human boys, the only real danger to our testicular packages comes from careless zippering and projectiles that seem to have deadly accuracy (Especially if a video camera is rolling).  For squirrels, however, there’s generally not a whole lot of clearance between the ground and their payload.  You probably thought scuffed balls were only an issue in our national pastime.  And let’s not forget all of those dangerous hops that are capable of crushing nuts even better than any small appliance you may have in your kitchen.  Being a male sciurine is not all it’s cracked up to be…

This week’s well endowed Saturday Squirrel must face the constant danger of having the rubber meet the road since his species has yet to master walking erect upright.  Maybe he should invest in a bowling bag to protect his valuables…

Tuck ’em in and have a great weekend everyone!  And enjoy the bonus earworm…

  1. I hear ya… and I’m glad the squirrel has fluffy balls… that makes it easier to walk through stinging nettles or rose bushes :o)

    • Ouch! Now I am thinking of those cockleburr things that hid in the grass and hurt like hell to step on. That would be bad to have to pick a bunch of them out of your nuts at the end of the day…

  2. I’ve just learned more about squirrels than I ever thought I would… (*insert bush here*)

  3. When I first saw the photo it looked like the little guy was running on the beach, then I thought “what is that…oh.”

He’s tromping along in quite a determined-looking way. Off to visit his lucky lady-friend, perhaps?

  5. Trisha says:

That poor guy, those things are huge! It’s probably good that mating season doesn’t happen when there’s still a few inches of snow on the ground. Our neighbors had a Bassett hound that had that issue. He left the most interesting trail through the snow….

  6. Merbear74 says:

I’ve got the biggest balls of them all. Classic.

  7. chattykerry says:

That’s a well endowed squirrel! I just asked Teddy yesterday which way he dressed – to the right, apparently…

  8. One more thing to worry about. Maybe we should campaign to supply athletic supporters for boy squirrels? Someone could make a lot of money marketing this, though I’m not sure that squirrels would be able to pay in the right currency. Acorns?

  9. trust ACDC to lift the tone! 😀

  10. Awwwww nuts! Kinda gives a new slant to the old “Won Hong Lo” joke of old………..

In middle school, “A little to the left” was always the height of hilarity.
