Three times a squirrel!
Earlier this year, I managed to get three consecutive photos of a squirrel sitting pretty in my backyard… one with him facing to the right, one of him facing to the left, and a somewhat blurry shot of him looking straight ahead. I was trying to figure out how I could milk those three pics for 
a Saturday Squirrel feature, when I decided to see what they would look like if I arranged them side by side in a makeshift triptych with the two bookend squirrels looking towards the fellow in the center. I think the only thing throwing this triplet mashup off is how crappy the focus is in that middle picture. Oh well, it’s not like I could’ve gotten him to pose like that again… my squirrels never do what I ask them to…
I got a whole gob of new photos at the park yesterday, so hopefully I’ll have enough nifty sciurine shots to make it through a season’s worth of Saturdays once I get them cropped and presentable! There’s nothing like spending Earth Day with the squirrels…

I’ll definitely be on the lookout for three squirrels who would fit that theme. Unfortunately, squirrels usually only have their paws over their mouths, while stuffing them with nuts!

They are probably about to shake him down for all of those nuts that have turned up missing… or maybe this squirrel just likes arguing with himself (Damn, I just gave myself an even better idea for what I could have done with this!)

That’s so cute! The outer two look like they are blaming the center one for something. I love how pronounced the light-colored ring around this squirrel’s eyes are. Seeing this fluffy little critter makes me realize how the squirrels here have mostly lost their winter fluff already.
Those rings are pretty sharp, and that squirrel is definitely three months out of season!
