  1. Quirky Girl says:

Oh, dear. Yet another thing we can blame Mother Nature for. 😝

  2. I had to look up shadenfreude. I can’t remember the last time I had to look up a word. Wow. And what a GREAT word it is. Bad enough when the pants don’t fit, but when the virtual ground crumbles beneath you — okay, the branch, for I said virtual, right? — well, I guess you gotta take that as a sign. Pass the chilleh!

    • I’m surprised looking through these comments how many people had to look shadenfreude up since I thought it was in somewhat common usage, especially in these days where we entertain ourselves with the FAILS of others in memes and viral YouTube videos. I have yet to break any branches, but my big behind has taken out a few lawn chairs in its day…

  3. Ally Bean says:

Cute. And with a big word, too. How much chilleh do you have to eat for this to happen?

  4. Green Embers says:

So this was great. I had an elliptical machine fat shame me once. 😆 True story.

  5. Trisha says:

If the branches are giving away under the weight of a red squirrel, I’d better not try climbing any trees! I’ve never heard the word shadenfreude before. I’ve got to do more reading since a possum has a bigger vocab than I do.

    • LOL, I have no idea where Buster would have picked a word like that up… his vocab is usually pretty salty, but not full of 12 letter words. As for the tree… I blame Dutch Elm Disease rather than MBRS’s squirrelish figure.

  6. 1jaded1 says:

I guessed that would happen. I love the “oh snap” as the bough breaks. I love the word shadenfreude, not the feeling. It brings to mind another word…karma.

    • Yes, I think the two are very well linked. Buster is practically a walking billboard for karma since he’s usually being an ass when I’m not having him suffer great bodily harm…

  7. Obviously that balcony was not built to code………!

    Pam

  8. LOL! So much for Mother Nature’s “safe space!” Great word. 😀

  9. oh boy…. I bet it was the little gray squirrel what was too much for that balcony… they always say a straw breaks the camels back… so it must be a small thing what caused that bad thing…

  10. draliman says:

Poor MBRS 😦 At least Buster wasn’t standing underneath!

  11. Holly says:

    I GOT THE POWER!

Sorry. Immediate reaction to “oh, snap!”

Mother Nature doesn’t play around, does she?
