Wow, is it Friday again already!? Where does the time go when you don’t have anything important to do all week? Well, I guess that means it’s time for me to dig into the job jar and pull out another reader-submitted entry from The Nest’s honey-do list for my Prompt the Squirrel feature. Yes, every Friday while supplies last, I take a different follower’s request and try to create something awesome out of it. After blowing everyone’s mind last Friday with an unscripted performance from Fucked Up Pony Theatre, I’m going to try something a little bit more straightforward this week that should make sense to everyone. Dog help us all…
This week’s prompt comes to us from another longtime Nester, Kat from the blog Bipolar Calico. She shares a name with one of my characters, and so it wasn’t too surprising to see a request involving that critter come up in my mailbox…
I would like to see a pinup style squirrel drawing or comic featuring Erin. 🙂
For those who don’t pay much attention to my gang, or can’t tell their names or species apart without a scorecard… Erin is a girl kitten character who appears in my comics. Even if you’ve never gotten past my blog’s header without having to hit the back button for your sanity’s sake, you’ve seen her before… here she is:

Erin and Merby are besties now…
In my group Erin is the daughter of Mini, who was one of the handful of characters I drew for a member of my Millionaire message board that made the transition to my comic. Erin wasn’t just created out of thin air, she was drawn for Mini’s real life daughter of the same name who is 11 years old now, though my cartoon Erin will forever be frozen at 8 because you can do time warping shit like that in comic strips. My most elaborate artwork of Erin thus far that features her in a starring role is the Unicorn Wrangler picture of her that can be found in my Cafepress and Redbubble shops…
Obviously due to Erin’s juvenile status, I won’t be doing a pinup picture of her (No, I would not like to have a seat over there)… but since I know Kat takes a fancy to classic pinups, I’m going to turn this into a two-headed art project and create one of those as well with a slightly different character of mine.
First, however, here is the original Erin themed artwork I created for this prompt featuring The Nest’s favorite kit as well as a squirrel character I created for Kat herself. Since I know she likes to create her own artwork, I drew her and Erin spending some quality time drawing and coloring pictures better than anything I could ever do…
How sweet, right?
Now to create that pinup… and you probably already know who’s going to be my model for that. When my possum guts-infested blog needs some sex appeal, nobody is better at flaunting off her furry assets better than my red squirrel MBRS. She was a little disappointed when I told her she had to keep it classy for this shoot, but she’ll get over it just like she constantly has to get over the fact that my pathetic attempts to draw my characters in a sexy way never comes out right at all. But what’s the point in having a redheaded bombshell if she can’t act the part…. so taking a cue from the Unicorn Wrangler pic, here is cowgirl MBRS making the cartoon version of the Wild, Wild West just a little more visually pleasing along with Rainbow Donkey…
If I had the patience to actually spend more than an hour on any one picture, that might have come out better…. but it ain’t bad. I’m not sure what Rainbow Donkey’s so pissed about other than the fact that MBRS probably had him branded on the ass with the “69 Ranch” mark.
So there you have it… more 100% eco-friendly digital artwork to tack up onto your virtual icebox fridge. Many thanks to Kat for inspiring these pictures, and I do hope you enjoyed them! I’ll be back to tackle another one of your prompts next week… with or without my computer crayons…
BRAVO!!!! forget this leonardo and this one-eared guy with the sunflowers… you are the artist of the century!!! I love it!
Oooh, do they have an award for that? How about one of my masterpieces has to hang in The Louvre… do you think they’d be OK with that? Rainbow Donkey would draw more tourists than the drab Mona Lisa…
Well done. I love the unicorn wrangler. You may be an art slave, but you’re a good one.
It’s a forced labor of love…
Very…um… alluring 🙂
I expect to gain a large new audience of male followers…
Well done my evil friend. I absolutely love the pin up picture – snort and all. I think it is totally classy and awesome for a great Friday like this. XOXO – Bacon
It isn’t often you see something classy on my blog. I hope it didn’t ruin my reputation!
Naw – there was some tail showing under that pony – snorts with piggy laughter. XOXO – Bacon
Sexy!!
I still have that exact drawing of Erin and RD stuffy on my fridge!!
I feel honored to have my artwork hang on your fridge!
To me, it is fine art made by a good friend!
Right down to the “come hither look” MBRS looks grand spread out across the back of Rainbow Donkey…..love her short-shorts and red braids. Well done! Just wondering though if it’s Rainbow Donkey or the snake that’s snorting???????
Pam
RD is supposed to be snorting, though that could just be a weird snake. I wouldn’t go near a snake that snorted at me…
Yeah…..it might have a bad cold……. 🙂
ody & biskit…yur dad does awesum werk…..de food servizz gurl canna draw a strait line; ore a circle if herz tracin a quarterz !! happee week oh end guys ~~~~ ♥♥
Neither can I, but computers are amazing tools for the uncoordinated to create art. I’d be even better if I actually had a graphics pad…
This is awesome! I love the sexy pose on the back of RD. The pop gun adds a nice touch. 🙂
Bang! Bang!
Honestly, that’s pretty tasteful. Heck, it could even be in the modern no-nudity Playboy
You mean Playboy used to have nudity? I’d never noticed before…
Those are some mighty interesting articles
I heard you could even get them in braille…
I love Erin on her unicorn! Being the mother of many cats (Khaleesi is my other name), I can tell you that they are all sluts, so you could have drawn her with teats out but I understand that you wanted to keep this a classy site… 🙂
I don’t think the world is ready for poorly drawn porn yet… so my sluts will always be keeping it classy.
LOL!
Well done! I love it! It’s so bright and colorful and Rainbow Donkey’s expression makes me wonder what’s up ahead. I’m glad you didn’t make Erin sexy. I love her sweet, innocent ways! The Unicorn Wrangler has me thinking I need to add to my collection of RD mugs. 🙂
Unicorn Wrangler was the mug of choice of one of my contest’s winners. Other than that, Mini herself was the only one who bought anything with that design off of me. It’s surprisingly unpopular!
I want you to know I still have Lil on my mantel. She’s there every morning while I drink my coffee, and every night when I turn off the lights. She lives with my Sui Dynasty terracotta musicians and fits right in, or anyway I think she does 🙂
Lil’s a bit of a siren herself and would have probably looked even more provocative on that unicorn than MBRS. I’m glad the caterpillars didn’t get her!
I have my Sulphur pic in my studifous! I love the drawing together picture. You actually captured the joy of drawing with children REALLY well with the expressions and the postures. Rainbow Donkey made me LOL. He looks a little bit like “can I go home soon?” MBRS’s outfit is also perfect! 😀
LOL, maybe RD is like me and doesn’t enjoy having his picture taken. Not everyone is a ham for the camera like MBRS…
That is TRUE! ❤
Cleverly done, ES!
Thank you!
As usual, sir, you have not failed to disappoint. Thank you. ❤
You are most welcome! Thank you for inspiring the art muse…
Always happy to help. 🙂 I hope you don’t mind but I save both pics to my personal stash o’ goodies. They were too cute not to.
I’d never draw anything for someone without allowing them to “keep” the result. Help yourself!
