Yo! Whatchu starin’ at?
Thanks to an unexpected visit from the mother squirrel Thursday morning, I was in the right place at the right time to capture some absolutely fantastic shots of one of my local squirrels who seemed to be a little uptight while sitting in the neighbor’s tree overlooking my driveway, and needless to say he was barking his fool head off. Sure squirrels are an excitable bunch, but this little guy was an absolute piece of work. And better yet, he bore with me and stood still long enough for me to get enough really cute pictures of him despite the fact that the cloudy conditions were blurring a bunch of my shots…
You’re not taking MY picture, are you? Dude, I don’t let anybody take MY picture!

Yes sir, Mr, Squirrel. So sorry I came out of the house and ruined your little groove you had going on there. If it’s any consolation, you’ll get a bunch of new adoring fans when I make you this week’s Saturday Squirrel.

These are beautiful! And that curious little face is so adorable. I wonder what’s going on to get the squirrels so stirred up. There have been some vigorous chases and super squeaky squabbles here the past few days. The Mother Squirrel didn’t allow me to capture them though. Maybe your little friend will come back and tell you what’s going on!
I did take a picture of what had that squirrel so stirred up (at least before I got my camera and further rankled its tail), and I may show that off next week since I got a few more nice pictures of him that I didn’t share today. He’s certainly braver than most of my other squirrels around here, who only let me take pictures of them through my window…
Love the last one with the tail blur. You managed to get so many pics, I reckon word of your Saturday feature has spread and he was hanging around hoping for his 15 minutes.
I’ll have to look…. he’s probably the same squirrel I get in all of the rest of my pics. Just a camera hog…
