Here’s a squirrel that looks ready to dash forward into the 2017. Back legs bent and locked, front legs in the set position, he’s poised and ready to spring onto any roadblocks or impediments that get in his way. His body stretched out so perfectly at attention, you could draw a straight line from his head to the tip of his tail… making him an aerodynamic force to be reckoned with that can easily plow right through whatever might come his way. This is one determined squirrel who will work to get what he wants, and achieve his goal or die trying. Are you up for the challenge?
Here’s to the final Saturday Squirrel of 2016, with an eye on those to come in the new year and beyond!
Have a great weekend and a happy new year!
He indeed looks “locked and loaded”……..I say “GO FOR IT!”………launch into the new year with a squirrel smile!
Pam
Squirrel smiles for the win! I love it! Happy new year!
it’s a good idea to walk ON the fence… so you can enjoy both sides… the common one and the one were the grass is greener :o) Happy New Year to you and to all squirrels :o)
Happy New Year to you as well! I’ll stay on the side where the grass isn’t as green since it probably doesn’t need to be mowed as much…
Happy New Year to you and all of your fuzzy friends.
Thanks, and happy New year to you all as well!
So cute! He definitely looks ready to take on anything that crosses his path. It reminds me of the time I saw a squirrel and my cat Frosty on a collision course on my fence. The squirrel didn’t even slow down and I don’t think Frosty even saw it coming. Suddenly, Frosty was on the ground looking confused about how he got there and the squirrel just continued on like nothing had happened!
Happy New Year to you and all the critters at the Nest!
LOL, that would have been a cute sequence to have gotten on camera! HNY to you as well!
Run, squirrel, run! 2016 is chasing you …. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!
With a nice, sharpened scythe…. there’s a word we don’t use enough these days.
He’s the very latest in aerodynamic speed squirrels. This guy is one of the prototypes, I think.
The Six Million Dollar Squirrel… I wonder if he gives off that bionic sound effect while he’s running?
