  1. Sometimes, the amount of stuff in the “amount” is like — 3 chips maybe? So if you actually eat anything … well … Anyway, no danger of ME withering away at the gym! NOT ME, uh uh. I’m solid on the sofa!!

    • I refuse to look at the Nutritional Facts on packages of food because they’re so insulting. There may be an alternate universe where people only eat 3 chips or a spoonful of ice cream, but I don’t live in it… nor would I want to!

  2. franhunne4u says:

It would be hilarious, if it wasn’t the truth, that people do not know what amount the given calories apply to. And Marilyn is right, too – the “servings” are laughable small. Who can eat just two spoonfulls of mousse au chocolat – or half of an already small package (i.e. 100 g) – that is why here companies are forced to write the amount per 100 g (about 3,5 oz). They still go on to add “per serving” …

    • I don’t even know what the requirements are here because I refuse to look at the chart on the back of the package. The serving sizes are the ones you can find in hell, devised by Satan himself…

  3. 1jaded1 says:

Panel 3 erupted my bronchitis. Thank you! It is true how servings are misleading.

  4. Right? The serving sizes themselves are a joke!!

  5. I’m your twin skunkbitch…. nuclear scale meltdowns scream for ice cream… and it’s not my fault that our store has no diet-version of Häagen-Dazs… if it ever exists… ;O))))))))))))))

  6. Merbear74 says:

That’s not how this works… that’s not how any of this works. lol

  7. draliman says:

Catches me out sometimes too. It’s amazing how “one serving” of one’s favourite food is often only a couple of measly spoon-fulls 😦

  8. Ally Bean says:

Oh this one is so true. Annoyingly accurate. *sigh*

    • Very much so. In fact, as I commented above, the sucking down ice cream part has been true for me this week. When something is so good that you just can’t stop eating it, the nutritional laws should be suspended…

  9. I always ignore “serving size” information on packaging…..I think the serving sizes are based on your average pygmy portion and I’m definitely not in pygmy territory!
