It’s Raining Again

I have a feeling I missed an appointment with an old man and an ark…

Welcome back to a soggy Picture Day Wednesday here at The Nest.  We’ve had quite a bit of rain fall on Nest HQ over the past week, and after a two day break, it started up again early this morning with not even so much as a short break expected until about this time tomorrow.  Bad news for those in the area already flooded out, as if the ramped up predictions for this latest round are right, about four more inches is expected just today and Thursday on top of the 7.5 inches that had fallen between last Tuesday and Sunday.  Nobody here is enjoying this constant barrage of precipitation one bit….

Well, almost nobody…..

This is why I do net let it rain inside of The Nest, dearie.  Enjoy it while you can, because the weather pattern is finally expected to dry up for the long term beginning on Friday…

If I don’t get washed away, I’ll be back with more pictures next Wednesday…

  1. We were watching the weather tonight and i was thinking about you and how you were going to be slammed with even more rain. We get one more non-rain day — tomorrow — then we are back to more rain, too. Rain, rain …

    • Yep, that sounds like the same thing we got on tape delay. Hopefully you dry out like we have… the last two days have been absolutely gorgeous Spring days…

We had sunny weather, then for the holiday Monday (and the Sunday) we had storms, then it was immediately sunny again.
Not as much rain as you, though.

  3. We have also had rain and snow more than we need, today teh sun is shining. A miracle!

  4. We have a mixed bag of weather lately…….still trying to settle into warmer temps but this morning heat on in the house AGAIN. WHAT? Also while we had sun yesterday we get rain later today. If weather was perfect we’d have nothing to complain about (oh wait – there’s always something to complain about or life wouldn’t be worth living right???).

Shivers – we have been getting rains too. Mom splish splashes back inside after every walk like she’s been swimming through puddles instead of walking for exercise. Hilarious for sure. Stay dry and safe my evil friend. XOXO – Bacon

    • That’s an ingenious way to combine two exercises in one… walking and swimming! Throw a bike in there somehow, and Mom might become a triathlete!

      • Piglove says:

Oh snorts with piggy laughter. Did you hear that sound? That was me laughing my piggy butt off rolling on the floor. Mom a triathlete. Oh Lord that is the biggest joke evah! We are lucky she walks! Good one my evil friend. XOXO – Bacon

I’m happy for Rainy but feel bad for that poor waterlogged squirrel. My squirrel friends can sympathize. We don’t get major soakers like you’re getting all that often but we had received our annual average rainfall just five months into our water year and we’ve had a lot of rainy days since then. Just day after day of the gloomy sky drizzling on us.

    • That’s worse than our flash flood causing weather pattern. Our non-rainy days have been at least been really beautiful. Great picture taking weather if I felt like swimming through the flooded park…

  9. We’ve had days of rain too and it’s expected to go all weekend, with a slight risk of snow on Sunday. Just when I took my snow tires off! 😉

    • LOL, there’d be riots in the street if it snowed here in May. If our twelve inches of rain in one week would have been snow, we’d never get unburied from it!

  10. Hoping you’re drying out and can enjoy more pleasant weather over the weekend. 🌞
