K Is For…

It’s time for another Tuesday tribute to the 26 letters that became immortalized in our alphabet in The Nest’s self-imposed Photography A to Z challenge!  June 6th may forever be remembered as D-Day, but we’re a little too far down the line to have lucked into that good timing.  So for now, I hereby declare it to be K Day…. ‘K?

While you gather your rotten kiwi (or maybe kale) to throw my way, I’ll remind you of the two rules I’ve bound myself to follow for this homework assignment…

  • Only photos I took myself will be used.
  • All photos used will have been taken without any thought given to this challenge.

Now let’s see if I can round up enough K things to make up a post….

How about we start off with a couple of really cute KITTENS?  Spilly and Ody, shortly after I had adopted them eight years ago.

My beautiful little bundle of joy… a 5 millimeter KIDNEY STONE I gave birth to back in 2012.

Make way for the KING!  Though I’ve been intentionally not repeating photos in this challenge, I reserve the right to recycle this one when Q rolls around…

KISSING at the ballgame.  This modern between-innings sideshow would make Ty Cobb want to punch a midget…

Scratchy using my KEYS to lock up the safe.

My hotel room in Minneapolis had a KITCHEN.  Luckily for the housekeeping staff, I didn’t stay there long enough to leave it as much of a mess as my kitchen at home…

KUM & GO gas mart somewhere in Iowa.  I’ll let you make your own jokes here…

KIDS trying to touch this….. um, aquatic creature through the glass at the zoo.  Humans can be just stupid as animals when it comes to not understanding the physical properties of glass…

Remember Onion?  Here’s her fierce racing rival KETCHUP with his bun turned towards the camera.

Ody was not a fan of my KEYBOARD, and was happy when I lost interest in it.

And since you made it through these kandidly krummy images without komplaining too much, Ewing and Muriel KAUFFMAN would like to cheerfully bid you adieu until we meet again next Tuesday for an L of a good time!  You know, I still think they’re actually welcoming the invading alien ships from Uranus…

  1. K is a moderate letter… it has good things like the kitchen or keds but not so gut like killer cold virus or kremlin (wonder if they just confused the k with a g?)

  2. I have a feeling the local folks in Iowa have something to say about that gas mart too……haha…..as for your other “Ks”…..well done! Nice that you saved your kidney stone – OUCH.

    • The stone was too perfect of a specimen not to save. And like any good war souvenir, it came with plenty of Purple Heart worthy moments as well. Let’s just say it didn’t quite kum & go….

  3. Another outstanding ‘kollection’ of k’s. P.S. Could Ody be any ‘kutier?’ Gotta stay with the game, right? 🙂

  4. draliman says:

Are you sure “Kum and Go” isn’t a brothel? ‘Cos that would make a great name.

  5. Merbear74 says:

The Dell Vikings should have released “Kum and Go with Me” back in the 50’s…

  6. ONLY slightly off subject, if you get Netflix, Sarah Silverman does a whole “thing” about squirrels and nuts. It’s pretty funny. It’s called “A Speck of Dust.”

  7. Quirky Girl says:

Kum and Go… how katchy. But then again, better off spelled with a “k” than a “c” in this case….

  8. ody N bisKit….whoa N cranbereez on yur dadz stone….be jezuz ~~~~~~~~~ OW

  9. Ladybuggz says:

Pretty disturbing photo of Snuggle being Killed! Very Kool photo’s !

  10. Ally Bean says:

Great ‘K’ photos. The kittens are the winners, of course… but the ketchup person does catch my eye.

  11. Kute Kittens. OMG they are too cute (even now)
