It’s Tuesd………… um, er……. Wednesday, which means The Nest is a day late and yet another dollar short in bringing you your favorite series about the Alphabet outside of a Sue Grafton novel. The next exciting edition of my Photography A to Z challenge is long overdue! You know how unhealthy it is to try to hold in your P, so I’m going to get this out as quickly as possible. While I go find a fire hydrant, you can check out these two rules of the challenge you’ve come to know and love over the past four months…
- Only photos I took myself will be used.
- All photos used will have been taken without any thought given to this challenge.
To P or not to P, that is the question…..
How about we start off with an adorable squirrel eating a PEANUT!
Hey buddy! Get off of that PHONE!!!! Yes, I took this picture back in the ancient year of 2010…. why do you ask?
Miss PRETTY KITTY. I haven’t seen her in a while, and am not sure what happened to her…
PEGASUS Hugging a Dog PRINT that I just had to order from Goldfish’s Redbubble shop.
Impressionist Squirrel watercolor PAINTING a lady from my message board created for me seven years ago!
PONIES! These four have had quite a bit of fun on my blog the last couple years…
Speaking of…. there’s nothing quite like a PONY PIZZA PARTY…
The PONDEROSA steakhouse me and my Dad ate lunch at weekly for over a decade until they unexpectedly shut it down two years ago.
Is that a PUMPKIN with a squirrel tail!?!?!?
It’s not every day you get to see the POLICE pull over someone and arrest them on your street… especially if you live on a small cul de sac.
POP’S PLAZA at PNC PARK in PITTSBURGH, PENNYSLVANIA, home of the PIRATES You can’t get more P-ish than that unless you talk about Peter Piper…
They race PIEROGIES at Pirates games. I had had never even heard of these things until I had the misfortune of witnessing this travesty in 2010…
Sleeping red PANDA at the zoo who didn’t want to be PHOTOGRAPHED. These are really cute animals that are wildly popular in furry/anthro art circles…
Elephant shit POOP….. because how could I do a P post without some poop?
And if you made it through this post without stepping in the elephant pie…. then you get treated to the most wonderful P of all….. POSSUMS! Mama and her kidlet say “Hi!”
Tune in next Tuesday (hopefully) and watch me tackle the queer letter Q…..
Love the pumpkin with the squirrel tail, leaving me with the deep, abiding question: Where’s the squirrel? Or is this “The Great Pumpkin” of the Squirrels who will hop away through the leafy trees? One bounding pumpkin! That could be really really funny.
I hope you are doing okay. I know this is a hard time for you. Hang on in there!
The squirrel can be found in the old post I linked to. I thought about using the side view where you can see the full squirrel sitting on that stem, but liked the coonskin cap look of the rear view. I’m doing fine… was just way too tired to even think about tackling this yesterday since I decided to go back to work Monday night.
P is a good letter… eggs-cept painting… with Pop Ross… it led to a shredded canvas and a mom with 87 nuclear meltdowns…it probably was the wrong time… Pop Ross was in tv at 2:30am (our time) lol
Bob Ross made everyone with a paintbrush look like an idiot. I still think he was cheating somehow….
I hope Pretty Kitty is okay…
I’m not too terribly optimistic, but I still echo those sentiments…
You made a good P.
My urologist will be so proud of me…
For sure!
I loooved that squirrel watercolor painting!
It’s not often you see a cute possum picture either.
I’ve got some more pictures of Mama Possum that look…… well, more possumish than that one. But with Baby on her back, it adds a whole lot of cuteness to the whole photo!
ody N biskit….well…poop……we waz hopin ta see perch……may bee next time huh…..N we hope all iz well with pretty kitty ♥♥ hope dadz doin oh kay two ~~~~~~
With how many times my backyard ditch has flooded, you’d think I’d have a picture of a perch by now…… but no such luck.
Well done peeing for sure…..I think my favorite is the pierogies – now that’s an interesting mascot isn’t it??? I’d say the yellow-hatted dood isn’t too happy about having to be a dancing/running pierogie since he’s frowning. Hope Pretty Kitty shows up soon…….. !
Pam
The actual Pirates mascot is a PARROT, and though I got a few pictures of it as well, he couldn’t top the pierogies for a coveted slot in my P Post. There is nothing more pitiful than a sad looking pierogi…
“Pawsitively” impressive. BTW pierogies are a BIG deal in Pittsburgh. Just ask any Yinser.
There were a few Yinzers on my message board I frequented back in the day, so I learned a lot about Pittsburgh culture…. but apparently not pierogies. That was at the same ballgame I learned what a capybara was (via the scoreboard), so it was quite the educational little trip to the ballpark!
Gotta love Pittsburgh for so many reason! Ha.
To p or not to p… 😜
That Pegasus print is awesome! And Pretty Kitty is just so freaking adorable, as always.
That eternal question is why it’s important to always carry a skull around in your hand… just in case.
The Pretty Kitty might have moved with her owners? She looked well taken care off – fur clean, not too hungry, eyes clear.
The people who I figure “own her” are still here, so I don’t know. She did not look as well the last few times I saw her, which make me think she was actually more of a street kitty than an owned one…
Have you ever eat’n Perogies?? (that’s how we spell it in Canadian, lol..) They are the Perfect Potatoe filled Pillow’s! (east Indian version is a Samosa”) boil them then fry in butter and bacon, serve with sour cream and cheddar! Yum! 🙂
Too many other foodstuffs involved there for my picky ass, so I’ll have to pass. The mascots certainly didn’t make them look very appetizing…
