Y is for Yesterday, as in the day this was supposed to be posted. But y’all know what a slacker I can be, so you’ll have to do with this day-late edition of my Photography A to Z challenge! I have a feeling Y is going to be a sneaky hard letter to find good photos for, so while I try to find a few ways to cheat on this one, Y don’t you read the challenge’s now-famous rules yet again, yo?
- Only photos I took myself will be used.
- All photos used will have been taken without any thought given to this challenge.
Well, let’s get this show on the road before yesterday becomes next year….
Let’s start with this YELLOW car…. a Camaro, I think.
YOGA PANTS! Women love to wear them. Men love to look at women wearing them. Yoga pants will bring the people together…
Ponies watching a YOUTUBE video, which was part of a prompt post I did last year that made sense to maybe two people in the world…
A squirrel in the Y of a tree. Am I really gonna count this one? Fuck yeah I am…
Three members of my shelf critter gang who were all made out of YARN by talented crocheters who once followed me!
I don’t think this is actually a YAK, but it’s close enough for my challenge. He’s kinda cute, whatever he is…
“Look at YOU!” Don’t you look awesome in this mirror? Why not take a selfie with a hitchhiking butterfly?
The YOUTH of America learning about how to get an icebox full of roaches like the zoo has. This will be a great home science experiment for these YOUNG lads…
YUNIESKY Betancourt, everybody. Yes, he was a real Major League shortstop for several years, and he was terrible.
What, are you tired already? OK, for making it through this post that had you asking “Y Me?” you can bask in the frightening glory that is Ody YAWNING while keeping my fresh laundry warm.
Come back next Tuesday for my series finale, and I promise you can get some Z’s….
ALMOST through the alphabet eh? Well done YOU!
Just about! I’m glad there’s only one more letter left, because stuff’s getting harder and harder to find!
Yay for yoga pants!
Z’s up next! I hope last time you were at the zoo you took a picture of a zebra. Or even of the zoo.
We shall see if I was so fortunate….
Yeah, otherwise it’s gonna be z for zero hahaha 😉
Y that was pretty darn cool. I wonder how in Z world you’ll handle the final ‘inztallment.’ 😆
Hopefully I will have more than ZERO pictures to show off next week…
wow you found a lot of interesting y-things … chapeau!!!
Yes, yes I did!
You did a pretty good Y. Not an easy one! ZZZZZ is going to be a piece of cake, now.
I’m sure it will…. at least I have a few Z’s in mind already, probably more Y’s than I had before I started searching.
ody N biskit….lookz like a yak ta uz !!!!!! grate job; therz mor Y stuff out ther then we think !!! 🙂 ♥♥
It’s definitely close enough to be a yak, or he had some yaks on his mother’s side of the family…
That yak is really cute. Here is one y word for you, yö, yes yö, it is a Finnish word meaning a night. I don´t try to tell how to pronounce that word, it is impossible for you.
It’s funny how each language seems to have its own sounds that non-native speakers can’t handle. I know there are some places who have trouble with our L and R sounds…
Yo Yo Ma!
I don’t follow baseball but I recognized the name Betancourt. He must have played for Seattle, which would make sense if he was terrible. I love the yak and the squirrel in the Y of the tree. That little face is so cute! It looks to me like its front legs are curled in the way cats sit sometimes. I’m probably just seeing things though. My vision is really distorted from another damned migraine. So don’t judge me if this doesn’t make any sense!
Yuniesky did indeed come up with the Mariners, so your memory of terrible players is dead on! I think you hit upon what I like about that squirrel picture…. it does look like he’s sitting like a cat! I think the look of the “paws” is an illusion, but that’s the beauty of photos is that the precise moment and viewpoint they capture can tell a completely unexpected story… like my squirrel who seemed upset he had so high to climb in the tree last Saturday.
I’m glad it wasn’t just my waning eyesight or overactive imagination that made me think the squirrel looked like it was sitting like a cat!
