Our friend here is so fucking special.
It’s always a treat when I get a photo of two squirrels together, because there are always so many fun scenarios that can be made up via their interactions. In this picture of a couple 
of my backyard squirrels, I love the weird look the fuzzball on the lower branch is flashing up at the other squirrel. Is he amused at the upper squirrel’s very see-through tail? Perhaps he’s trying to get a better look at certain parts he probably isn’t welcome to be eying up. Maybe he just loves running around the tree making the others wonder why he’s wearing such a shit eating grin…
Or maybe that’s ME he’s flashing the queer look at! “Do I amuse you?” he might be wondering. It’s hard to tell, but this week’s Saturday Squirrel is definitely just a tad on the creepy side to me. Cute, but still creepy…

Looks to me like he’s saying something like “hey you pervert – keep moving along – it’s mating season and I’m BUSY so put that camera away!”………or maybe he just likes being underneath a fellow squirrel looking up at the view??? Say – who’s the pervert here anyway?!?!?!

He (I love that we can keep things simple and use the pronoun “he” here without anyone getting upset.) definitely looks like he’s up to something. The other squirrel looks quite oblivious too. Your suggestion that he was eyeing up certain parts seems right on to me. Maybe you’ve captured a scuirine peeping Tom in the act!

Where is yesterday’s episode of the Shelf-Critter-Theatre? It’s not really weekend when I can’t get a a new episode!
I apologize, but every few weeks there just isn’t anything good to work with. I can promise you (And The Shelf’s other five or so fans) there will be an episode next Friday… if for no other reason than I always make sure to post on Friday the 13th…
You do not have to apologize. I hope you realize I was just mock-complaining … I do not feel entitled to a shelf-critter-theatre episode. This remains your blog and you do with it and on it what you want.
Having said that – I was a little sad … But then people say I am sad ole fool anyway.
Given that SCT often draws the fewest likes/comments of anything I post regularly, I am very happy to see someone actually miss it! I just wanted to state that it won’t be an every week thing, but hopefully an almost every week thing…
