Roll Over

You like my hairy chest?

Though I declined Franhunne’s request in my Twenty Questions feature to create a weekly feature of only cat photos… given that my two inside and two outside cats are about the only things that have me reaching for the camera these days, Picture Day seems to have become Kitty Day by default.

Sewie is a roller.  Maybe he was Pentecostal in a previous life, or perhaps he just has an itchy back… but he really enjoys rolling around on his back.  Even out in the middle of the street (Thankfully, my street is not a busy one since it dead-ends at my house).  Last week, he got miffed either at me or the shabby treatment he was getting from Gypsy and casually strolled away from my porch…

This is what a casually strolling cat looks like from the rear.

One of his (and now Gypsy’s) favorite places to lay is underneath my next door neighbor’s boat.  Once he finished strutting to the driveway, Sewie proceeded to do his best Curly act…

A living Swiffer.

As adorable as Sewie always is, he’s even cuter when he’s rolling back and forth on the ground and occasionally flashing me that look like “What are you staring at?”

Wait a minute! You’re not putting this on that blog for everyone to see, are you!?!?

Damn straight I am, Sewie!  Eating my cat food entitles me to use your likeness to attract my cute animal loving friends.  Sorry, dude… just keep doing what you do so well!

    He is a beautiful cat!!

That’s the beauty of animals. They do all these adorably embarrassing things that we unquestionably use for the entertainment of our fellow bloggers. 😛

    • They do, though that’s the payback for all the attention and loving they get from us. And I promise you that if one of my neighbors decided to roll around on the ground like that, I wouldn’t put the photos up to entertain everyone…

      • Quirky Girl says:

That’s right, because that level of entertainment couldn’t be captured as well through photos. You’d be better off video recording it. 😂

Beautiful kitty cat there, with just the right amount of sass.

  6. Trisha says:

He’s so handsome! He reminds me so much of Scooby, who was also a roller. I always thought Scooby rolled because he thought it was cute. Maybe the look Sewie gives you is to make sure you’re still admiring his awesomeness!

    • LOL, that could be! But when he’s rolling around on my porch, he usually stops as soon as I get the camera. In the year-plus he’s been hanging around, those are the only good rolling pictures I’ve gotten of him! His real owner (who calls him Buddha) has no idea he’s such a blog star…

  7. She really has beautiful eyes! Magical eyes.

  8. Absolutely adorable!

  9. draliman says:

He should have read the small print Sellotaped to the bottom of the cat bowl. His loss, our gain!

  10. He’s a handsome guy and that “roll” maneuver is a favorite of many including my Teddy. Sidewalks, streets, driveways – they seem to beckon to those who are fond of “the roll”…..Sewie makes a good photo subject for Cat Day!

  11. Sewie is a big cat, the photo were he is walking away has attitude. When I realized what means Pentecostal, oh, our Kosmo must have been P also.. How is that beautiful Lumikki, Snow-white in Finnish, you just call her Gypsy.

  12. Ladybuggz says:

Sweet kitty, and yes, a big Swiffer! 🙂

  13. Love that ‘come hither’ look.

  14. He is a most handsome specimen. I think you should also be glad he doesn’t live in your house with that long fur of his!
