So here we are, one sixth of the way through my Top 200 photos countdown, and if you’ve been paying attention you’ve probably wondered where Ody has been. I’m pretty sure I’ve taken more photos of him than any other individual living thing… and yes, he does have a large number of entries in this countdown. Naturally, many of them appear in the upper half… thus why it took a full 35 posts before the first countdown glimpse of my charming tuxedo cat. And naturally, it isn’t one of his more flattering photos…. poor thing. Poor WET thing. This wasn’t the first time I ever gave Ody a bath, but if you can’t tell by that wild-eyed kamikaze look on his face, it WAS the last time. A wet dog stinks, and a wet cat seethes. I am extremely lucky I didn’t get a sharp claw to the jugular for this…
I will get the same look from the overlook twins… not only wet dogs stink… sweaty dogs too :O)))
Ahhh, the old chamber of tortures. I can imagine the misadventures involved in giving two big dogs like those a bath!
You brave soul……Sammy only had one bath in his 17 years and that was the day I brought him home from the shelter – he was a very stinky kitten. Teddy loves water but not getting IN it (at least yet). There are cats who love the bathing thing but somehow I think they might just be in a minority! Ody does not look amused!

I’d just recovered from a long and bitter battle with a flea infestation that year. I think I had Ody and Spilly in the bath two or three times during that. Biskit just missed out on that fun, but he was the other victim in this final washing I gave them before their annual vet trip that year. I have a picture of him all soaked sitting on one of my chairs giving me the “Why me?” look… but I chose Ody’s miffed expression over that!
Cats are simply SUPERB at the “why me” look…..especially with the “airplane ears” accompanying the evil eye……..they are masters of expression!
He doesn’t look all that impressed with you, does he? It was only the realisation that he can’t open the tuna tins without help which saved you…
If they ever grow opposable thumbs, I am in so much trouble….
He seems to be channeling a “50 ways to kill your owner” look.
That’ll be me slip slidin’ away in a pool of my own blood…
My last cat used to love baths, I’d take her into the tub with me (seriously) never one scratch! My hubby always said she smelt like Steak Sauce when she was wet! She was one in a million!
He looks extremely pissed!
Btw, something has gone wrong with my wordpress so I can’t hit the like button on some posts today.
Hmmmm…. maybe the server is clogged up with wet cat hair. My Reader’s been a bit out of whack lately, so something is wonky…
