Remember those long ago days on the school playground? All of those silly games you and your friends would play during recess… like freeze tag, kickball, handclap chants and of course Red Rover? Squirrels like to play games with each other as well… and I’d imagine they might look like something you see in the photo above. One squirrel makes an arch out of his tail, while his friend runs underneath it. Hours and hours of fun, I tell you, for those days when there just aren’t any nuts to bury or tulips to dig up. I hope you enjoyed our version of the Saturday Squirrel limbo…
(The school bell rings)
Have a great weekend everyone!
As you know I like squirrels and follow them when possible. They really play, especially when it is time to make a impression to a girl squirrel. I saw once a boy squirrel acting in a tree like in a gym and a girl was sitting and watching. Oh, he was great and together they left.
OMG, that is so cute! The squirrel with the six pack gets all the girls…
What a beautiful little beast. Over the rainbow cute!
Who says a gray rainbow can’t look beautiful?
Damn right!
Limbo tail – OR perhaps he’s practicing for the neighborhood “make your tail look like a banana” contest????
Pam
I can’t recall ever taking a picture of a squirrel with a more rainbow shaped tail… it definitely stood out when I saw it. He can really work that tail!
Definitely limbo. He looks like a very agile squirrel. And such a perfect arch!
The shape is noticeably perfect. Parabolic, even….
Where there lots of them arrayed across the grass? I’m wondering if they’re setting up for Squirrel croquet.
Ha! I didn’t even think of that! I’d be careful of an errant shot, though…. wouldn’t want those balls to make contact with the other balls…
An to think they called that game ‘leap frog.’ It definitely should be known as leap squirrel!
As long as it’s not leap unicorn, I’m in….
