Ahem… (conjuring up my best David Attenborough voice)… here we see the majestic Amur leopard in its natural habitat of the southeastern Russian forests. No, wait a minute… that can’t be right. What’s with that giant grid in the foreground? This is merely an Amur leopard in his own private Manchuria on exhibit at the St. Louis Zoo. An exquisitely marked kitty that is critically endangered in the wild. While he’ll (or she’ll) get care, shelter and all of the careless zoo tourists it can eat in this wildlife penitentiary… it won’t have the benefit of roaming the free range. Then again, my two cats don’t have that benefit either…
Gorgeous animal! Of course the same could be said for your two wild animals and my extremely LARGE ginger wild animal here at home………….right?
Pam
Indeed! Though maybe I’ll paint a few spots on my cats and see if it makes them look a bit more ferocious…
Why couldn’t we just leave their habitat alone? Then we wouldn’t have to cage them “for their own safety”.
One of these days, some group of aliens will be saying that about us…
What a beautiful kitty! Terrifying, but beautiful.
I don’t think I would pet his belly, no matter how tempting…
Here kitty, kitty.
