Of all the fascinating things there are to take pictures of in this world, one of them I’ve never captured before has been a rainbow. At least, not a full rainbow. The best chance I ever had at one was the ballgame I’d most wished I’ve brought my camera to… especially since they were still playing ball after 3 AM. I digress… here is the only rainbow I’ve caught, and it’s just one pitiful piece of the arc that will definitely not lead me to the pot of gold. It’s actually kind of weird to only see one small part of a rainbow in the sky… like those little rainbow segments you’ll see when you spray the garden hose in the summer. This was shot after a ballgame I saw in Arlington, Texas in which a storm rolled through no more than five minutes after the final out was recorded. Maybe one day, I’ll be lucky enough to capture the real deal..
Part of a rainbow is definitely better than no rainbow at all……we were lucky enough to see a double rainbow years ago on a cruise on the Rhine River. It was very surreal but very cool.

I hardly ever see rainbows anymore… in fact, that may have been the last one I ever saw. A double rainbow would be awesome… that’s TWO pots of gold for the taking!
Two pots of gold would have helped pay for that Rhine River cruise…… 🙂
Ooooh…cue the ah’s. Nice capture.
Just a small “ah” though since it’s only a tiny rainbow…
Have Mitzi sing “somewhere over the rainbow.” That should do the trick…
I think she’d ruin the harmony with all those “likes” she’d ass to it…
Like, somewhere, totally under the rainbow, skies are like, so adorbs and blue…..
ADD, not ass! That’s a typo that looks like a Freudian slip…
Snuggle would approve.
Any rainbow is a good rainbow! I’ve seen many, but only once did I have my camera. My son got a gorgeous one, but not me.
I remember that photo, and it was a great picture. Maybe someday, but I haven’t even seen a rainbow in a few years. Maybe I just don’t get out enough…
Every time I tried to capture a rainbow it’s hardly showed up in the photo. Tricky things…
Vampire rainbows are hard to capture…
That little bit of rainbow is still very pretty! April is rainbow season here but I only see parts of them because of all the trees.
It was really fortunate I even saw that itty bitty piece… and when I did, I kept looking all over the place for the rest of it. It was in Texas, after all, and I thought everything was supposed to be bigger there!
