Well, what do we have here but a pumpkin that’s rocking a squirrel tail on its stem? What the heck? I had no idea what was going on here since this was the exact view I had of this scene from my bedroom window, but rushed to get my camera to take a shot of it… then rushed to my computer room window to get a photo of it from a different angle. If you want to see the “magic” behind nuttiness, you can see both of these photos here. I generally dump my world famous Squirrel O’Lanterns out by the tree after Halloween, and it turns out this squirrel found the stem to be a great place to camp out and eat dinner. Had his body not been perfectly obscured by his bushy tail from my perspective, this photo wouldn’t be as neat as it turned out to be!
so funny!
This would be Daniel Boone’s pumpkin…
Yes!
A very rare strain of pumpkin indeed.
Nice capture!
Usually the pumpkin doesn’t start getting fuzzy until the mold sets in…
Wish me luck, lads, I’m going in!
There’s nothing to be had in there except burnt innards…
ody N biskit….dad did get a grate shot and at de rite time two !!:) ♥♥
And the squirrel stayed put, for once, or he’d have been gone by the time I got the camera!
When they said ‘timing is everything’ I think they were thinking of a photo like this! Too rich.
A lot of my best photos are timing. And it makes me wonder how many even better scenes I’ve missed out on due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time…
I don’t suppose you posed that picture, but it looks like you did 😀
I’ve been trying to think of something to ask you, but I think I’ve been asking you stuff for years. Like five of them. Give or take.
It doesn’t have to be deep and insightful…. or even about me. Just whatever the first weird thing that comes to mind!
I do wish I had trained squirrels who would pose for me in all kinds of interesting scenarios, but I can’t even get my cats to do the same thing.
That is amazing…..I would NEVER have been able to get my camera in time to capture that one!
Pam
Whatever he was eating, it was so enjoyable that he stayed there long enough for me to get a picture of him from BOTH windows…
