Did you ever make a turn onto a road that unexpectedly lead to a dead end? Not every street is meant for thru traffic, and if there isn’t a good place to turn around and go back, it can be quite a hassle to undo the wrong turn. Well, apparently this same thing sometimes happens to squirrels on the interstate highway system among the trees. This squirrel was sure his GPS told him to take this route to shave two minutes off his trip time… but it turned out to be a branch to nowhere. Not even another nearby tree to jump like the General Lee onto. He seems confused about what to do now. I’m afraid you’re just going to have to turn around and try a different route…
I hate when that happens. But it’s good to know squirrel GPS is just as squirrelly as ours…
If I can’t find the place myself, I don’t want to go there. My philosophy, and why I rarely leave the house…
U-turn is the best, also in a tree.
It may be a tad more dangerous 50 feet in the air…
Better not to try it, we are too clumpsy, too big and too old.
Just BAAAACK away slowly guy! Risking the turn-around might be – well – risky!

I hope he has backup lights, and one of those things that beeps when it’s in reverse…
So cute 😊
Thanks!
That’s actually his lookout perch. He’s on guard duty today.
I don’t know if he’s going to be able to throw anything at an intruder with both paws holding on to branches…
Looks like that guy should check for the latest GPS update and avoid all cul de sacs.
Taking the Limb to Nowhere wasn’t wise either…
That is a beautiful image. Wow. He is Squirrel King of all he sees.
Yes! And that includes all the cats…
When in doubt, make a u turn. At least, that’s what my useless GPS always directs me to do. Ha! 😝
Make two U turns and really confuse the GPS lady!
Make a U turn! Make a U turn! Make a…
System overload! Reboot! Reboot! 😛
My personal favorite is when my GPS takes me to a bridge that fell down years ago, but they forgot to close the road. Looks like a pretty fragile branch. Hope the youngster can turn and go back. You gotta watch out for those GPS’s.
I’ve never used one, and I’d rather it be my own fault when I get lost rather than incorrect technology…
