#82 – The Yellow Striped Road

Photo taken: May 19, 2015

This photo was taken on what would have been the final Kansas City baseball trip me and my Dad had taken, only that’s my sister to the right there as she volunteered to take his place when he wound up too ill to go.  This bright yellow striped walkway was a feature in the Kauffman Stadium parking lot that was brand new that year… and it inspired me to take this picture looking down its length towards the ballpark.  A kind of Yellow Brick Road, if you will that did not lead to Oz, or even the nightmarish Blahs my Shelf Critters are dealing with.  There was no wizard at the end of the Yellow Striped Road… just a ticket taker and a few metal detectors (Welcome to the new age…)

  1. Yes, but the more important question is… were you wearing your ruby slippers?

  2. Looks like you got there nice and early anyway as not too many cars there yet – that yellow striped road kinda looks like a train track to fun.

Interesting choice for a marked pathway.

  4. Where’s Oz when you need it?
