Many human homeowners seem to enjoy taking pride in their property, so why shouldn’t squirrels also have a desire to show off their humble abodes? Look how happy this squirrel is that I’m taking his picture sitting outside of his hollowed out “treehouse” He probably thinks I’m going to feature it in Better Nests And Nuthouses magazine. This scene is certainly quite inviting, and though he may want me to stay for a while as his guest, I honestly don’t think I would fit through the front door…
it looks like a suirelette who just finished her weekly weekend cleaning… therefore the happy smile…
The only thing that’s missing is a drink in her hand…
No but you could buy him a little welcome mat and strap it to the branch.
Welcome to the Nut House. Wipe your paws…
Does he do seasonal decorating around his door? That’s the real sign of someone who is house proud!
I’m sure he’d have Christmas lights up for the holiday, but in the middle of the park, he’s need a very long extension cord…
Good point.
That is a particularly attractive door. I’m pretty sure it look just like an illustration from Winnie El Pooba!
I believe the door was designed by Woody Woodpecker…
Gotta watch out for that first step outside-it can be quite the tumble.🐿
Especially if it goes all the way down to the bottom of the tree….
Love this guy (or girl) squirrel’s smile……pride of home ownership!
Pam
That will change when the property tax bill comes…
Aw, he does look rather proud of his home. And no lawn to mow, either.
What a perfect, snug home! Better than Winnie the Pooh’s!
Well, I don’t think Winnie would be fitting in that home… not with that honeypot belly of his!
