While I don’t have dogs of my own because the responsibility (which I lack) to care for one far exceeds what is required for cats, that doesn’t mean I’m not a fan of canines. The friend from my other internet hangout who hosted an annual get together does have dogs… and if she didn’t, there’d be no Evil Squirrel or likely Evil Squirrel’s Nest. Above you see Lizbit on the left and BeBe the greyhound on the right engaging in a tug of war over a single toy. I love the angle I got this photo from, with Lizzie’s flashbulb red eye making it just a tad cooler. Though I can’t for the life of me remember which dog came out on top in this territorial game…
is it a bee what they make to a jigsaw? …hope it is not the busy bee from Beatrix of Best in Show… although it would solve the mystery about the missed toy ;O)
I bet those two ripped that toy in half and BOTH won!!

There are no winners in this game. It gets played till some dog gets tired and just drops the toy. Unlike possession of a bone which can get bloody.
No doubt the tug-o-war was accompanied by lots of grrr-ing too. Too cute!
Awww, cute! I love to see dogs playing. Mine play tug-of-war with each other once in awhile and it’s so cute the way they try to keep each other interested in the toy.
I’m guessing they both ended up with half…
