#71 – Sad Eyes

Photo taken: May 2, 2018

Here is poor Gypsy trying to take in a meal on my uncovered front porch while getting rained on.  She’s wearing such a sad face, and her normally pretty white fur and brown tail are bearing the brunt of the shower.  This was about six weeks after she first showed up, and by this time she was refusing to come inside due to the fact that she does not like my cats, and came to accept the fact that I wasn’t going to get rid of them for her.  Ody is poking his head out the door perhaps out of curiosity, or perhaps to mock Gypsy for the rough treatment she’s given him.  Poor wet puss…. er, kitty…

  1. poor gypsy…. we wish you all the best… maybe someone can invent a cat-brella for such rainy days…

  2. Cats can be so territorial. We always had a long adjustment period anytime we introduced a new family member.

    • Ody was territorial to Biskit for a few days when I first brought Biskit home… but it was funny watching Gypsy from outside come in and completely tell off both of my cats. Ody’s twice her size, even. I gave up early on in trying to get Gypsy to be an indoor cat, which I guess is a good thing since it turns out she “belongs” to the neighbor kids…

  3. What, no cat B&B condo outside for visitors?

  4. A smoking shelter or bus stop would be nice so she can at least be dry while she’s doing her mooching!

    • Per state law, I’d have to build any smoking shelter a minimum of fifteen feet from the front door, so that would eliminate the porch. Maybe I can build a dual purpose shelter for her and any of the squirrels who want to take a smoke break…

Aw, she is looking pretty bedraggled and feeling sorry for herself.
