This is a very strange and even eerie looking photo of…… what exactly? There are silhouetted oak leaves on the left. Is there something on fire in the middle that is causing that oddly colored smoke? Well, this mess is what you get when you try to take a photo of a solar eclipse in progress when the clouds decide to roll in and ruin the show. I got a lot of bizarre looking sky shots during last year’s celestial spectacle, and this has to be the creepiest photo of them all. Seriously, this could be a scene from a Stephen King novel…. maybe a bad one. Why do I have the urge when I see this strange sky brew to recite double double toil and trouble…

With the title “portal to hell” I wondered if this was going to be an image of the on ramp to a major highway. That’s what it would be here in Denver but I digress. LOVE moody sky and cloud images. Well done.
Sorry, but the on ramp to Hell is closed for three months due to “road improvements”…
