#55 – Lizbit In Action

Photo taken: February 26, 2011

You’ve already seen Lizbit, the dog of one of my internet friends from Oklahoma, playing tug of war with her sister BeBe in a recent photo countdown entry.  Here is the big lug herself running through her backyard at full sprint.  Not only was I amazed that I even got her in the frame given that she was just as hard to capture as a squirrel darting through a tree… but that the crappy camera I used at the time didn’t really blur the photo any.  The way she is running tilted towards the side reminds me of the iconic image of a wild horse sprinting on the plains.  After seeing how cool both her and Wilson look running in these last two entries, I sure do feel old knowing that my running days are long past me…

  1. mine too… and to corner that way is not possible with just two legs… not even with nike uptempo hooves…

She seems to have a freakishly long right foreleg…

    • Probably for the same reason Biskit sometimes looks like he has legs that are twice as long as his body… lanky animals can have deceptively long looking forelegs. Or maybe it’s why she can take that corner so well…

  3. Not only are my running days “long past me” but they are way on the other side of the hill that I’m sliding down in my old age!!!

Mine, too. Even my jogging days are gone! Love to see a dog running full out, having a joyful time.

That is one happy looking pup…

  6. Great motion shot. I never seem to get a really good angle. Not that I don’t try. I just never get the shot.

    • I was just as surprised when I saw this pop up on the camera screen as I am when I luck into a great squirrel action shot. What was really dumb luck though was getting very little blur…

  7. That girl looks like she’s got some serious wheels!
