#37 – The Power Of Cheese

Photo taken: May 26, 2017

One person’s trash is another critter’s treasure.  It’s why one of the biggest ways animals can be pests to humans is that they love to dig in our garbage and scatter it about looking for the good stuff.  And boy, did this squirrel find the good shit!  Picking a single photo for this countdown from the full set was difficult, but I think this one came out the best and shows off how happy the squirrel was after he had already devoured most of the leftover junk food.  That tray he’s holding is one of those little plastic snack containers full of crackers and some yellowish dipping substance that can only legally be called “cheese product.”  This squirrel was after that remaining cheese product, and cleaned the container out right before my eyes, and camera.  Poor squirrel is probably on the road to all kinds of health problems now, but at least for about ten minutes on a warm May afternoon, he kept me very entertained!

Ick, that cheese is horrible even for humans. Hope he washed is down with some good acorns.

  6. Ironic that even animals like that nasty cheese wax stuff. Guess it beat hunger though.
