“Working hard, or hardly working?” is a common tongue-in-cheek question asked among people in the workforce. I think we know which description best fits this trio of roofers working on a neighbor’s home early one morning. Yes, they’re obviously taking a break… though this was right when I came home from work in the morning and the sun had only been up for about an hour and a half. They couldn’t have done much to merit a break by that point, especially since pounding on a roof with hammers would be quite frowned upon at the asscrack of dawn. Regardless, I’ve always loved this photo… though I now see it would have been much better were I not stuck with my crappy zoom camera at the time. Another thing that has made this picture stand out to me is how all the “work” that was done went entirely to waste, as this was the scene at that exact same house just three months later..
