#16 – Bellyrubz

Photo taken: July 19, 2012

Some cats roll over on their back and make it look like they want their belly rubbed… then make you pay for jumping to such a ridiculous conclusion.  Ody is not a trap cat.  Ody really does love having his big Buddha belly rubbed, and will give you ample opportunity by exposing himself like so in front of you.  In the days when I would let Ody jump up on the computer desk while I was using it, I got treated to this scene quite often.  This was far and away the best photo I got of him in full “rub me!” mode.  The eyes aren’t just glowing… they look like marbles!  And that face…. geez, how can you resist NOT rubbing his white fluff?

  1. Yep – that’s definitely a guy who is “open” to the belly treatment. Teddy’s the same although he can’t get up on my computer desk any longer – not enough room for him to stretch out. Great shot of Ody “askin’ for it” !

    • Ody can’t sprawl out on my desk anymore either… there’s too much junk where he’s laying now. He has to settle for the two end tables I use as the SCT stage to do his roll over act… and then hope he doesn’t roll right off onto the floor!

  2. Nope. I couldn’t resist that invitation either….

  3. He is so cute! Our Kosmo sleeps quite often his tummy up, but I think he does it, because he is so fat nowadays.

Yeah, 9 times out of 10 the moment you go for their belly they curl around and shred your hands…

  5. That’s very cute. It seems somewhat of an anomaly to think cats like belly rubs. Dogs-sure, but cats don’t come to mind right off the bat.

  6. Awwww. What a sweetie puss!

Eric likes to have his tummy rubbed, too. Garth is the shredder.
