Hey there pretty squirrel! Hold still while I take your picture for my blog! I do hope you don’t mind if….
Hey! Where are you going? You’re not afraid of a little worldwide exposure, are you? Come on, you look absolutely petrified of the camera! Please come back where I can get a better shot of your cuteness! Sigh…
Gee, I wonder what could have him so terrified?
This Saturday Squirrel wildlife documentary is based on actual photos of an actual situation…
Have a great weekend everyone!
Can’t say I blame him….
That is a mean looking cat. At least until he gets to my door and flashes the “feed me” eyes…
Everyone’s happy then
I think the cat was hoping for a meaty dinner…
That cat was surely up to no good. The squirrel had the advantage of a great look out post for such dangers.
I love how I can tell when one of the cats is lurking around the area by whether there’s a squirrel barking its head off in one of the trees. When everyone else considers you to be prey, I’ll bet you get awful paranoid!
So the neighborhood defense league is out and about, eh?
More like vigilante punks trying to bully the neighborhood cuties…
You say tomato, I say tomahto 😈
I love it when the squirrels are on alert and they begin the barking…..we have a couple of them in our woods who have very squeaky barks, and one who has a very HUSKY bark…..that squirrel alert system works though! They do that when they see hawks as well as cats.
Pam
We should add those squirrel barks to those Emergency Alert System tests on TV and radio. It would sound a lot better than whatever that annoying sound is they use now…
I HATE that sound – and it blasts you out of your chair at random times – wonder how many heart attacks that racket has caused???!!! LOL I’d much prefer squirrel barks.
Actual photos of an actual situation! It’s like it was happening right there in front of me!
I’m glad squirrel chose safety over world-wide fame.
I don’t know if that cat is a climber or not. Gypsy, on the other hand, is a better tree climber than the squirrels… though she looks too sweet to be a predator.
Bad kitty! Some of them just don’t accept that some rodents are welcome and some are not. That squirrel looks rather annoyed! They’re cute when they’re mad. 🙂
That’s the same bully cat that runs Gypsy away from the food I put out. Apparently he wants to make sure the squirrels know he’s the king of the neighborhood too… little asshole cat.
When MY squirrels run away, they don’t look terrified. They look like I’ve interrupted a really good meal — maybe because I did. But they NEVER stop eating. They just don’t like the camera. They run VERY slowly and sometimes circle the feeder several times on their way out.
