It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on a Thursday, so I figured I’d dig up another old comic from the glory days of this blog when my cartoon gang of characters was providing the entertainment. Here’s one that was quite well received when it was originally posted and which still makes me snicker. Those of you old schoolers on my blog may even remember who the characters are (not to mention the running visual gags)!
This was Comic #193
I’m not brave enough to ask where Buster has that swelling ( but I can guess it) …
I think Mitzi will know…
I miss your comics. (Wah.)
I miss them too. But I realized while trying to “paint” Mitzi yesterday that not only has my skill at computer drawing atrophied over time, but the Photoshop program has nothing on my classic version of Paint I lost two years ago. They were really the thing that held this whole damned blog together…
I get it, ES.
My glory days are far behind me now, as well. But I am old school and remember that every Thursday I could count on a new fucked up comic to read. But retro ones are um…retro. 🙂
Just scrape the mold and Cheez Whiz off of them, and they’re just as good as new.
I had my ears pierced when I was 11 by our doctor. They were in the wrong place and I had to have them redone by a non-professional who at least knew where the holes were supposed to go. Non-pros aren’t ALWAYS bad. Sometimes the pros are much worse.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a doctor piercing ears before… but then again, I only have the holes nature gave me. I think my sisters all went the retail store route to their original ear piercings…
I had my ears pierced by my doctor when I was 15. I cannot imagine doing it any place else. 😳
Again… interesting. I wasn’t even aware doctors used needles for anything other than painful injections.
Out of the frying pan and into the Mecca!
One of the few times Buster wishes he’d been killed off…
Oh, wait, surely I didn’t just copy and paste my comment from 2016… naughty, naughty draliman…
Nah, I’ll bet he had fun showing off newly mutilated, swelled goods…
Again! 😛
And yes, I occasionally use the tongue emoji because it’s one of the few that still automatically appears by typing it out…
haha that’s funny!
I had my ears pierced first time by a friend’s mom who was a beauty shop lady. She just had me hold an ice cube to my ears for a little bit, then stuck the needle in. Didn’t hurt a bit. Next time was at a store in the mall with one of those gun things they shoot the earring in with. That didn’t hurt either but was faster. 🙂
I got my ears pierced by a jeweller … where I bought my first ear studs.
My ear piercing experience was – well – memorable. The idiot doing it got the gun stuck and I sat there for a half hour while everyone in the jewelry store where I had it done tried to figure out how to dismantle the gun to get the needle out of my ear. Turns out it was a “first-timer” on the piercing equipment AND she didn’t even get the hole in the right spot! Hurt like you know what!
Pam
Geez, I’ll bet I could get Buster to re-enact that scene… only the results might be a little more dramatic and amped up for entertainment purposes. Say, I wonder if anyone has ever gotten a brain piercing before….
I have a feeling maybe Mitzi has had her brain pierced……frequently. 🙂
Ok, I know I’m behind but now you’ve got me totally turned around! ☺️
