I love it when one of my followers posts pictures of squirrels on their blog, because it makes me seem a bit less weird (NTTAWWT). One of the best things about seeing other people’s squirrels is that they sometimes look very different from the plain greys that are all I ever see, and it’s good to have some squirrel variety in my life. And sometimes…. someone even manages to capture a baby or three….
Today’s Saturday Squirrel photos are all courtesy of longtime Nester Jenn from her Jenn’s Midlife Crisis blog. When she posted the photos a few days ago of these little cuties near her home, I absolutely had to share them on my world famous (cough, hack) weekend feature! Look at those adorable little tails!!!
A huge thanks to Jenn for allowing me to share these Canadian cuties with my squirrel adoring public! I very much hope that she gets more wonderful pictures of these guys as they grow up to become happy and healthy adult squirrels. I’ll stop talking now so you can just revel in the beauty of these lil ones and squee to your heart’s content.
Which speaking of….. the grand prize of Jenn’s collection:
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Awwwwwwwwwwwww. So cute.
There isn’t much cuter than a baby squirrel!
Too much cuteness!
I keep saying I need to do a squirrel post don’t I? I have some funny pics.. somewhere!
I’ll bet you do. Go find them and get ’em posted before the deer eat them!
I’ll try…
I have tons of squirrels around my house and woods but never have seen squirrels THIS young before. I see them when they’re old enough to begin climbing tree limbs, etc. These little ones are adorable – YES OF COURSE I SQUEEEEED – what self-respecting squirrel-o-maniac wouldn’t! Thanks for sharing.
Pam
I have never seen a baby squirrel before in real life. I’ve seen a few who are in that stage between kids and adults (The squirrel teenage years, I guess), but never ones this little! I’m glad Jenn got photos of these guys though, because they brought a huge smile to my face! (Yes, I have a soft side!)
Thank you for sharing these photos. They are so cute.
No problem! If you get any good photos of your cute squirrels once their fur grows back in, I’d love to show them off on The Nest too!
We have two now living very near, they are both brown now, You can show my photos in your blog, I will tell you when I have something to show.
Admittedly, those are pretty cute. They look more like chipmunks than squirrels. Chipmunks are not nearly as destructive as the neighborhood gangsters. 🐿
They’re red squirrels (At least the flavor of red squirrel we have on this side of the globe), who look a bit different than greys. I don’t know if something that cute (and that Canadian) could be a thug…
Nose boops, totes made my day! They are all so cute!
Life needs more nose boops….
Agreed, but don’t do it to random strangers at the grocery store, they DO NOT like it 🙄
Geez, people are no fun!
OMG, they’re so freakin adorable! I want to pick them up and hold them so bad! We didn’t have any red squirrel visitors this winter. They’re still around – I see them if we walk up into the upscale areas of the neighborhood but I’ve never seen a baby. They’re so cute! I think I need to take more walks up in the yuppie zone. Maybe I can spot a baby.
So the red squirrels only hang out in the swankier neighborhoods? Figures. They’re probably all like MBRS!
They do seem to have a preference for the upscale and fancy!
Aw, wow! I’ve never even seen pictures of baby squirrels before. I guess I assumed they suddenly appeared fully grown. Now, aren’t they cuter than that photo of a box of baby possums?
Now I wouldn’t go that far. I mean, we are talking about cute baby possums…
❤ ❤ SQUEEE!!! ❤ ❤ OH the overwhelming CUTENESS!!! Thank you so much for providing me with some visual joy this weekend!! If you're on the prowl, so to speak, for interesting squirrel pictures, you might check out Marilyn's photos. She can be found at teepee12.com. Her blog title is "Serendipity – Seeking Intelligent Life." She has a LOT of squirrel pictures, although hers, like yours, are mostly gray squirrels. But hey. Squirrels. 🙂
I’ve been following Marilyn for years (she’s how I found you), and I even reblogged one of her squirrel pics as a Saturday Squirrel not too long ago. Her squirrels look just like mine do, though, except hers are even better fed!
Awesome and adorable little baby squirrels! Soooo cute! 🙂
They are! I wish they were around for me to feed everyday…
I am in total toxic cute overload. OMG I can hardly stand it. Oh my goodness. Thank you. I’m going to bookmark this page for the next time I’m feeling down. THIS is the absolute squirrel bomb.
These were some of the cutest squirrel photos I’ve ever seen anyone post before! I like that idea of squirrel therapy…. how could these guys not make anyone happy?
I saw them hours ago and I’m still happy.
They really are adorable. Are they even full grown or are they toddler squirrels? They look like babies!
They’re babies…. but don’t worry, I’ll bet they still have VERY healthy appetites!
Aaaaw, these are precious! They don’t look anything like our wee fox squirrels. Ours are looking so pretty this year, healthy and happy.
Hurray for healthy and happy baby squirrels!
…and so many! 🐿
Aww! Those might just be the cutest squirrels I’d ever seen!
