Share Your World – Week 35

This is the first snake I’ve ever seen in my yard. Like my squirrels, it tried to hide before I could get the camera…

It’s time for The Nest to do some Tuesday world sharing along with the Share Your World questions posted this week by Melanie.  And if you have a problem with that, then you can just kiss my asp (above).  Time to make this shit official!

I wouldn’t want to be a member of any world that would have me as a member.

When you’re 90 years old, what do you suppose will matter most to you?

Hopefully the worms will stop chewing on my nuts…

I will be amazed if I live to see 90.  Hell, I’m not even halfway there (almost, but not quite) and I already feel like a geezer who’s about ready to get sniped by the Reaper.

MITZI: Grandma Mitzi’s, like, totally looking forward to turning 69!

Ummmm… that was 90, not 69 Mitzi.

MITZI: Oh.  That’s, what, like a hundred years older!  Mitzi will still be a total stud magnet in the nursing stable since silicone doesn’t sag and my coochie will always be open for business!  Does, like, Medicare pay for VD shots?

What’s the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?

Uh oh…

RAINY: How in the hell would I know?  It never rains here!  Not once in my entire life, and that’s like……. well, it’s a long time!

Come on, Rainy!  I mean, we just had a flood a few weeks ago.  Didn’t you see the pictures of my backyard……

RAINY: It rained and you DIDN’T LET ME OUT TO FILL UP MY PRECIOUS RAIN GAUGE!?!?!?!?!?

Well…. I mean…. it kinda did….. uhm….. nine and a half inches.  I mean, you’d have drowned in it, and……

RAINY: You are an EVIL squirrel, do you know that?  It’s time to show you what my favorite way to spend a sunny afternoon is…..

Gack!  Holy crap, that’s peeling the skin off my face!  Hold on, while I air out the room….

That might help…

What is one thing you don’t understand about yourself?

How I can be so perfectly content living a life that would make almost anyone else in the world practically despondent.

No, that wouldn’t explain it either, Fuzzy, since I don’t partake of your devil’s weed.

When was the last time you tried something to look ‘cool’ (hip), but it ended in utter embarrassment?   Details?

If something is what all the cool people are doing, I avoid it like the plague… lest I’ll be embarrassed with myself.  Like that smartphone craze everyone’s in on these days.  You won’t ever see me with one of those hipster devices in my hands walking into random poles….nosireebob!

Me and Ricky…. old school to the core.

This is an opportunity to share a picture, a story or event that shows your gratitude.

I’m sure my gratitude is in this image somewhere.

Please don’t stare.  I know it’s not as big as big as everyone else’s….

  1. I’m with you no one will see me ever like this… I can crash into things without having a smart phone LOL

  2. Haha, I only upgraded to a smart phone because my boys got me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. If not I’d still be using the old sturdy flip, texting would be a nightmare for sure, lmao.

    • I have yet to break my texting virginity! Seems that’s the preferred way people want to stay in contact now…. which is fine with me! I don’t want to talk to them anyway…

      • Oh I’d rather much talk to someone instead, but texts seem to be what “everyone” else prefers. I hate the fact that even my mother texts now, and she misspells everything, so sometimes I have to call her just to ask wtf she was trying to text.

  3. BWAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Thanks for making my Tuesday morning HILARIOUS by Sharing Your ‘Evil’ World, Squirrel!! You’re 45? Huh. Well I’d totally glom onto you if our ages were more aligned and we lived in closer proximity. Yes sir, you’re the latest victim of ‘granny lust’. Just because there’s snow on the roof…. 😉 Ask Mitzi about unbridled (*snicker*) libido in the time of mandatory prune juice and colonoscopies. I really look forward to Tuesdays now because I know there’ll be some Shared hilarity of the World kind. Thanks!

    • 45…. next year! 😛 Though I may as well be 60 for how I feel. I better not touch that sentence that has both Mitzi and colonoscopies in it, because my imagination is already demented enough, and we don’t need Dr. Snuggle Bear to be “operating”…

You have a finnish phone, Nokia. I have a smart phone, but I don’t speak while walking, or anywhere outside. For me it is somekind of a safety phone, if I fell down, I can ash help. Your gratitude is hiding somewhere as many other people’s. 90 years is not so bad, my mother is 97, lives in her own home, and her brain is clear.

  5. Trisha says:

Is that really an image of the inside of your head?

I similarly don’t under how I can be happy with my life when others would find it utterly depressing. I’m not agoraphobic exactly but sometimes a couple of weeks will go by without me going anywhere other than the grocery store. Homebody doesn’t even begin to describe it and yet I’m quite content. I don’t really want to leave home more than I do I just want other people to stop expecting me to!

    • Trisha says:

Oh, and I’m with Rainy! She’s been waiting all this time for rain and you didn’t let her out to fill up her gage? That’s very cruel! Rain deprivation is a real thing. I’m suffering from it myself right now.

      • That’s definitely not my head! An image of the inside of my head would probably show squirrels chewing on all of the “wires!” I definitely wouldn’t mind being rain deprived. Just enough to keep things from turning into a desert is fine with me… though I guess a cactus would go well with my snake. Poor Rainy…

  6. Ick on the snake sighting…..just a garter snake but a “snake is a snake” in my book and I “ick” them all. We do not have a smartphone in this house either…the old flip is good enough for us. We just have no reason to be accessible 24/7 nor do we WANT to be! Hey – nice shot of your brain – one question…..is that thing on the back of your head a metal plate???? That might explain a lot.

    Pam

  7. I’m beginning to think the ‘smart’ phone craze may be nature’s way of natural selection. It’s just taking a bit too long in many cases.

There’s no holding back Mitzi. I fear for the other other residents of the nursing stable…
