Evil Squirrel’s Nest and our 29 Saturday Squirrels hope you enjoy this extra day of 2020!
Have a happy Leap Day, and a weekend that will leave you leaping for joy!
Wow. Those are some great action shots… wish I could leap like that!
I wish some of them didn’t end up so blurry. Squirrel motion can be so hard to capture clearly…
What a treat! It’s a real leap-fest!!
Pam
Leapapalooza!
The last one looked like he was just hovering, magically, lol. All of them were great shots of leaping squirrels Evil!
The last one is my favorite squirrel photo I’ve taken. The only real jump I ever got that had zero blur. Also, one of the first pictures I ever took with my then new camera. Not a coincidence, I’m sure, since I’ll bet I’ve knocked a few of the settings off by accident that I’d never figure out how to fix again!
Are Leaping Squirrels a sign of spring? I certainly hope so! Happy Leap Day!
I believe they are! Even in non leap years!
Neat!
🙂
Ah, I get it. Leap Day, 29 leaping squirrels…
I think number 6 has hit warp speed.
Just wait until it hits ludicrous speed…
Aren’t they graceful!
And in some cases, daring!
These are some fun leaping squirrels – and a nifty idea for leap day/year. 🙂
I’ve had this idea since I knew Leap Day was going to be a Saturday (which has been a while since I’m a huge calendar nerd)…
I want to see a squirrel leapin’ about in the snow! It’s easy to take a leap on solid ground…gimme a snow squirrel.

See Photos #1 and 7.
These are great! Happy
Leap Day. 🙂
Thanks! I’m a little surprised I was able to fill out a collection of only jumping squirrels…
I can’t believe how many amazing leaping squirrel photos you have. You’ve really got a talent for capturing them mid leap. I just can’t get over #29!
That talent is just a lot of luck! If we weren’t in an age of digital film, I wouldn’t have any of these photos, because I’d waste so much real film trying to catch a jump!
Awesome. Love #12!
I’ve named him Hover Squirrel (Actually, one of my followers at the time named him that!). Taken the same day as my favorite, #29…
