What in the world is up with this squirrel? Is he trying to hide from the coronavirus? Does he think those “duck and cover” drills are still a thing thirty years after the Cold War? Is he just…. ummm…. airing it out after a night of chileh and nuts?
Oh. Well I guess I should have figured you were just burying something in the ground. Something that you’ll most likely forget the location of within fifteen minutes…
But seriously…. do you really want people seeing you hunched over so far your ass is up in the air like that?
Well…. nothing, I suppose. But it kinda sends a bad message, don’t you think? You never know what someone might come along and do….
Poor little Saturday Squirrel, becoming a predator for more than just the local hawks. Don’t let this happen to you. Remember, when you bury your nuts, make sure to cover your butts!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Bury your nuts, cover your butts.
There’s a bumper sticker if ever I saw one!
Wonderful! I’ll make up a bunch and hand them out to the squirrels at the park next time…
He might have been a SHE and advertising “open for business” ????????? I agree with Rivergirl about the bumper sticker possibilities though!
Pam
I guess that is possible. Only if it were a she squirrel, I’d think she’d have a long line of he squirrels forming behind her!
As cute as this little critter is, this picture is just plain hilarious! Assume the Position, have you seen Robert Wuhl’s HBO series on how wrong our American history is? I love his history classes, they’re hilarious and true no less.
Me and TV broke up years ago… but yeah, I do like reading about lost, alternate, and completely wrong history! They have a lot of that in the Uncle John’s Bathroom Readers I like to peruse in my spare time…
Or is that just how squirrels poop? Either way, it’s a very cute series of shots!
One of these times, I’m going to accidentally get that on camera… and I don’t know if I’ll be disgusted or thrilled!
🤣🤣
He’s burying his head in the sand and hoping the world will go away. Or become a nut paradise.
He should make sure there aren’t any fire ants in that hole he’s hiding in, or the world really will go away for him…
Er, predator? I’d say Saturday Squirrel was ripe for the plucking and victim status, but that’s just me. Very endearing shots whatever the word! 😀
Yes, wondered about that, too – as I am a foreigner and English is not my first language, I stumbled there and wondered if my cat is not the predator … and a squirrel only is one when eating young birds.
Ack, I meant prey! And I was using the predator/prey analogy in the sexual way since the guy was prone to an “attack” from behind…
Yeah, that was my mistake! I meant prey… but as usual, my fingers were moving faster than my puny brain…
Sometimes it’s easy getting caught up in the scent, er moment. The bumper sticker possibilities are endless.
Bury Your Nuts, Cover Your Butts might be inviting getting pulled over for a strip search…
I’m sure he is feeling the breeze. Cute little squirrel.
Cheeks flapping in the wind…
I caught one in that position digging in one of my huge flowerpots – where he’s buried an acorn, of course.
Can you grow an oak tree in a flowerpot? I guess you’ll find out!
He’s doing yoga. I caught my little red dumpster diving recently…and shredding my string clothesline. I think there are more babies coming…
