Don’t Step On It

So much for a day of freely scampering…

Tread carefully…. life is full of landmines.  Whether you live near a sweet gum tree and its spiky fruit or not…

Today’s life lesson is brought to you by The Nest’s weekly Saturday Squirrel.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. You have a great weekend too.

  3. Ally Bean says:

We had a house with a sweet gum tree in the yard. Those messy little spiky things never disappear from your lawn. They have the staying power of a virus.

  4. Rivergirl says:

Tiptoe through the…. well, those sure aren’t tulips.

  5. mydangblog says:

Can the squirrels eat them or do they just have to tiptoe around them?

  6. Trisha says:

He does look like he’s tip toeing very carefully. Squirrels look so weird when they walk, maybe because they rarely do!

  7. Awk!! Those ‘seed pods’ are worse than land minds! I first encountered them on a trip to California a few years back and was fascinated until I tried to pick one up. We don’t have those that I’ve seen in the Mile High. Stay safe from gum tree land mines!

  8. draliman says:

    His poor little paws!

  9. Prickly balls. Squirrels are so smart. Not much can stop them.
I’ve been watching squirrels all day. I need to take some photos and send them in. They’re so cute.
