Murphy, you little fucker! You jinxed this whole damned year!
A bad month has gotten even worse for me this week. Ody began having a series of problems on Sunday night that has now cascaded into his second hospitalization this week and a very murky prognosis. I’ll spare you the gory details, but this has been a horrible adventure the past few days… and just two weeks after I lost Biskit. I could also complain about the utterly outrageous costs of the animal hospital I was referred to by default this morning (More than I’ve spent at my regular vet in the past 10 years), but that would seem tacky in light of the situation.
And now that I have some time, I’m going to give Melanie and Roger’s Share Your World questions for this week my normal college try and see if my sense of humor is still intact through all of this chaos…
One of my favorite gifts that Harry Potter received came from the Weasley Twins; and was “Mrs. Mooney’s Marauder’s Map”. This magical document showed every classroom, hallway and secret corner in all of Hogwarts. It also showed you the location- by name- of every person in Hogwarts. If you had such a magical map of your town, what would you use it for?
The map cleans better than the sandpaper we sell at Mecca…

Many cultures set great value in each child of the family having godparents. Did you have godparents? Are you a godparent yourself?
I have no idea. My Mom’s side of the family was Catholic, and I’ve been told I was Baptized (A lot of good that did)… but I’m clueless about whether or not I have godparents. My parents both emerged from religious families as heathens…

we wish we had such a map… but our favorite thing by da weasley twins is da u-no-poo , even avilable in france, but they name it chcocolate ice cream with brownies by downtown. we cross our paws for Ody… as hard as we can…

First, I am truly sorry to read about Ody (may he recover nicely). That’s awful news. So sorry to hear about Ody being under the weather. Sending healing energy your way. Yeah, my vet said we can do anything for pets that we do for humans, the only limit is being able to pay for it. Here’s hoping he gets better soon. 😺
So sorry about Ody’s health and Biskit’s passing. Sending positive thoughts to you. As for your questions, I didn’t find out I had been baptized Anglican until I was in my 30s. Always thought I was Presbyterian. Not that it matters—I haven’t been in a church for years even though I live next to 2 of them!
