My apologies for making you wait an extra day for your weekly trip through my local park. But here is sweet little trip sixteen, the first of four excursions I took last year. This one was taken on the morning of Wednesday April 10, 2019. It’s another small batch, and only seven of these were ever featured on my blog…. but for the first time, one of those was the title card! This little guy found something green and edible in one of the park’s trash cans…
And I followed him around a bit, as he tried to find a place to enjoy his roughage in private…
I certainly wouldn’t be that happy if all I had to eat was veggies… but hey, whatever floats your boat. I guess at least you’ll live a healthier life than the cheese dip squirrel from a few editions back…
Speaking of greens…. that looks like some of the buds off one of the blooming trees. Looks like even in April, these squirrels are still clinging to their New Years resolutions to eat healthier…
Uhhhh, no thank you.
That’s one huge tree trunk the squirrel’s sitting on!
Pull up a bench next to this wild haired squirrel!
A kangaroo….. er, squirrel hopping across the path. Boing, boing, boing….
Hey, it still gets cold in April. No need to put away that plush winter coat just yet…
Ch-ch-ch-chia squirrel! Love the perfect positioning of that wild grass clump above his head…
Or maybe hangin’ tough…
Well, there’s a fine squirrel tail…
Dammit! And it’s “prevert!” Don’t piss off Merby…
A lovely squirrel in bloom photo…
And lastly, enjoy the handful of pictures I got of this cutie!
Is this squirrel a mother? I think those are teats I see sticking out there…
#!@&*(#&@()!!!!!!
Some very sweet shots there. But kangaroo squirrel? Epic!
Just missing the baby squirrel in its pouch…
One I can handle…. another full brood might be the death of me.
awww they are all so cute! haha the Chia squirrel! Sure wish we had some squirrels around here. 🙂
We have plenty to spare!
Love Chia – did you realize you’d captured the chia effect when you took the photo OR was it a “happy accident” ??
Pam
That was definitely an accident. Since that wasn’t a photo I’d used for Saturday Squirrel before, I apparently just noticed the Chia effect now!
could be the twin of the nelly …he eats all green things too LOL
As long as they don’t eat my green pieces of paper…
That last squirrel seems to really be sizing you up. Beware, looks like she’s thinking of calling the neighborhood hoodlums to follow you home and teach you some manners about spying on girls.
I survive getting nuts thrown at me while I’m at the park, I think I’ll survive a squirrel posse…
Awww, so many cute squirrel pics! Kangaroo squirrel made me laugh and so did ch-ch-chia squirrel. And I was thinking the same thing as Tails Around the Ranch, that last squirrel does look like it’s sizing you up!
It wouldn’t be the first time I ever pissed off a squirrel. Probably won’t be the last either!
Top quality squirrels. That kangaroo looked very tough 😀
Probably a champion boxer just like his relatives Down Under…
Great moments captured!

Love the kangaroo guy! Now, if you could only catch a photo of a kangaroo racing up a tree and across the power lines, you’d have a matching pair…
