Remember last year when I was posting summaries each week of all of my past visits to the park to take squirrel pictures? I did those for the first 20 trips I took. I’ve gone three more times since then, and if I ever pick up the series, the next entry will be my excursion last June 18th. I was also using the very first photo in each archive for that trip’s title card… and this will be that future title card for Trip #21. It’s a really good one, too… with a squirrel on all fours looking right at me. His chest and arms almost seem a bit disproportionate to his head… almost like someone Photoshopped a squirrel’s head on a cat’s body. But maybe this guy’s a bodybuilder. Hey, it couldn’t hurt to be ripped while lugging all of those heavy nuts up into their lofty nests!
Let’s hear it for another fine Saturday Squirrel specimen!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Perhaps you caught him mid push up…?
Possibly. Is there a Squirrel Marines?
I wouldn’t doubt it..
He does look like he’s got a bodybuilder thing going on…..I’d make a comment about him lifting his heavy nuts but………nevermind. He is a mighty fine specimen though!
Pam
I’ve seen some squirrels lift heavy nuts of both kinds…. including the ones that drag along the ground!
That’s cute!
It’s the happy face!
Is it just me or does his tail seem extra-long? Love his ears too!
It looks about right to me, though it seems to have a bit more fluff to it than you’d expect given it was mid-June.
Awww, he’s adorable! His head does look small compared to the rest of him. That’s kind of how I’ve been feeling lately. My head is staying the same size but everything else is expanding. I feel like I need big 80s hair to keep everything proportionate. Maybe this little guy needs a wig or a big hat to feel better about his big cat-like body!
Big hair ain’t all it’s cracked up to be! I’ve got it for the first time in my life, and I can’t imagine what it would be like if it were all poofy and styled! And I never look as cool as hair bands do when I try to flip it out of my face….
My first thought was actually “not a squirrel this week”! It’s the tail that gives him away.
I could post a picture of something else and see how many people notice it isn’t a squirrel. I did get some good shots of a bunny in my driveway last week…. the tail would give it away, though, too….
