This week’s featured critter for my SYW intro is the keeper of the muzak, DJ Scratchy. She is a McDonald’s toy representing the My Little Pony character Vinyl Scratch (aka DJ Pon3), and was sent to me back in 2014 by beloved old time blogger Not A Punk Rocker to add to my ever growing collection of crap. Many of my very first SCT-like skits on this blog were centered around her and the rest of the pony collection I had at the time… including my inspiring telling of “A Christmas Carol” just before the holiday in 2015 (posted in 5 parts, which like all my other SCT related crap, can be found here).
While Scratchy’s (and her fellows ponies’) role in SCT is nowhere near as predominant as it used to be, Scratchy’s made her hay (pun intended) as the mascot for my Monday Muzak features that started shortly after she arrived in my mailbox. And fittingly, that should be where I draw inspiration for her proposed SCT question. This is a question I always enjoy hearing people’s answers to…
What was the very first popular song you ever remember taking a liking to? I’m not talking about children’s songs or old traditional songs… but the kind of songs you’d hear on the radio.
And now for Share Your World… and the second edition featuring the questions my critters dared to ask. Melanie once again went to the art chest to dress up my critters for their BIG MOMENT… so be sure to check it out if you haven’t for the main post, and for the “Oops, we forgot that stupid Troll” addendum!
She also created this special Share Your World logo for this week out of the 10th Anniversary image I added to my sidebar last week for my upcoming milestone….
Would you rather have a huge head of hair or be completely bald? No middle ground! (Asked on behalf of Troll)
Once I got used to how it looked, I’d probably go with bald. When in doubt, always go with LESS maintenance.
If you were to be cast as part of a comedy double act, which part would you play…. the straight man or the funny one, and why? (Asked on behalf of Chip)
I’d definitely be the funny one, because I’m always coming up with the out of nowhere comebacks that make people laugh, cry, or ponder whether I was dropped on my head by the stork. And much like my material here, my comebacks are usually R to NC-17 rated… regardless of the current company.
If you were to be reincarnated on Earth as any non-living/inanimate object of your choosing, what would you come back as and why? (Asked on behalf of Buster…. probably in one of his dying breaths)

It’s time for Madame Mitzi’s Wheel of Deathies!!!!
A pendant…. because pendants get the best view of the world.
We all know how dogs mark their territory. How do you mark your territory? (Asked on behalf of Fleabag)
With glitter, of course!
f you were on a trivia show and had to correctly answer ten questions in one subject to win a million dollars (or whatever currency is used in your locale), what would you hope the category would be? (Asked on behalf of Shadow)
Well, it definitely wouldn’t be movies….
Most likely baseball, because trivia shows seem to really dumb down sports questions since that’s apparently not fodder for the intellectuals (as if trivia experts are really intellectuals). You can ask a nitpicky question about some 70 year old film that was nominated for an Oscar, but who won the World Series last year is usually considered too obscure for most game shows…
In democratic societies, do you believe that the right to vote is merely a privilege or a duty for all citizens? (Asked on behalf of Uncle Sam)
When the idea of having my critters ask their own SCT questions first came to me, it was around election time last year… and this was probably the first question that popped into my mind.
I absolutely believe it is a PRIVILEGE of democratic society, and not a DUTY, as some of those who seem fit to look down on those who don’t participate seem to think. And no, I don’t think you lose bitch rights by not voting… I hate both parties and most candidates, and just because I didn’t want to hold my nose and vote doesn’t mean I can’t complain about the outcome, because I’d have disliked it either way. And since the current political culture is so pigeonholed into LEFT and RIGHT, there’s utterly zero hope that those who don’t sell out their beliefs to back their lesser evil will ever get what they want out of the process. Because if everyone really thought for themselves, there’d be no political party that could adequately represent anywhere near a majority of people and what they hope for from government…
So vote if you want, and don’t if that’s your thing! No judgment here…
No gratitude section!?!? Wait, who voted for that? Errrr…. nevermind!
Thanks, Bill for Sharing Your World (and critters) with everyone! 🙂 That cartoon is timely for then, now, or in the future, because there will always be a liar, a crook and/or a pervert on the ballot. That’s kind of grim, actually.
Again apologies to Troll. He is very cute for a troll… Um. . Okay then. Mitzi has a great idea with that wheel o’ death idea, now I suppose Buster will have to go into Witness Protection…? All the images were fabulous! Answers equally so. Thanks again for being the funny man in our little duo here and for sharing your splendid critters! Have a great weekend!
Madame Mitzi’s Wheel of Deathies was a great gag from one of my old episodes… I had to bring it out for Buster’s question! Thanks for entertaining my questions for this series, and of course, for totally running with the SCT madness in your post!
A truly timely cartoon…course it would be anytime since the election cycle is non-stop anymore. It’s no wonder people tune out and don’t vote. Then again, when rules make it more difficult to vote that doesn’t help much either. Often we get the candidates we deserve.
The partisan machine has completely broken politics. I literally just read about how our Founding Fathers® so despised political parties…. yet it barely took a couple years after the Constitution was ratified for those same Fathers to break off into the Federalists and the Democrat-Republicans. I like some of both parties and have views somewhere in between on a lot of the rest…. there is never a candidate for me.
The system is broken and sadly not likely to be a solution any time soon. Money has corrupted both parties.
That giant hairdo photo cracks me up…..looks like a poodle on top of his head (from the back of the poodle of course). So the Nest is almost ten years old huh? Will there be cake and ice cream for this occasion?? As long as there’s no blood sauce from Zeeba for the ice cream count us in. Ten years of nesting is worth celebrating!
Pam
I don’t know about the cake and ice cream with Hung Lo being the resident chef, it may have a slight dog or possum taste to it. I do have a couple special features planned… one that will start right after Halloween. Stay tuned…
Coolio!
Voting is fun that’s why I do it a few hundred time an election.
I’ve voted for several of my characters for President before. None of them won…
The Nostromo! And I didn’t even have to ask a friend (ie Google). Do I win a million bucks?
You can have the $64,000 that Amy lost missing that question in 2001… which is probably worth about $6.40 in 2021 money.
