As we continue to delve into the C list of Shelf Critter Theatre stars, for this week’s SYW intro I’ll turn to that doe eyed little lamb and Mitzi wannabe who adds a toxic dose of cuteness to every episode she appears in, Mary. If you know your nursery rhymes, Mary’s naming inspiration should be obvious… and she didn’t even make it onto the SCT stage until the second season episode parodying American Idol where she got her face melted off by Mr. Fox. No, I’m not making that up…

Mary’s a Littlest Pet Shop bobblehead figurine that, like Fleabag and several of my ponies, came courtesy of McDonald’s and the fact that my Mom always got the Happy Meal there because that’s all she had the appetite for. I wound up with a few of the unwanted toys that I now play with on my blog for your entertainment…

What really turns your stomach? (politicians aside)
I typically leave off the parentheticals from questions if they aren’t critical to my answer… but it isn’t politicians who turn my stomach. It’s the people who argue the politics. The whole toxic way of “debate” in the internet age absolutely makes me wretch, while the same self-righteous know-it-all highbrows that occupy both sides of the alleged debate think I’m deranged for squishing possums and bimbofying unicorns…

Do people behave differently during Christmas
Short answer, no. At least for me… I can’t speak for others. It seems to be a trope that people tend to act kinder and more generously during the holidays, but the super cynic in me thinks that’s mostly an act at best, or a myth at worst.

Wholly St. Nick…quick! Someone call the ASPCA or the Humane Society on that cigar smokin’ hater!! Thank you Mr. E.S. for Sharing Your World and the ‘true’ nature of Christmas *insert celebration of your own choosing* Perhaps we can re-couch the tampon box question (although someone today beat your tampon box with a toilet seat box). Both things I wouldn’t care to see under MY Christmas tree I can say! Re-word it and get the actual question out there? In fact on the SYW Before Christmas (coming your way soon), I will do that very thing. Here’s the question “What unusual traditions does your family or you, yourself, indulge in during December with all it’s festive celebrations from different places?” How’s that (you could parsec that down for me, I do realize it’s a very long run on… aw..) You’ll be getting the credit. Now as to the banner with the reindeer….that went over like a slightly leaded balloon…some folks only see %@$# which probably looked as if I were cussing. 😨 I just right clicked, choose “emojis” at the top of the menu and chose “reindeer” and it popped up. I wasn’t sure it would work either. Now remember that I’m a fossil who uses her desktop tower computer to blog (no Apples or Macs or “I”s here). I realize the variety of devices and ways folks plug into WordPress is vast. But I thought I’d share the ‘trick’ of the emoji in the title. Hope it helped. Um. Well have a great week!
